Cinema Audio Society

The Cinema Audio Society's purpose is to "create a proper channel of communication between the related sound crafts and between those instrumental to the production and distribution of film and television soundtracks." The Association for Independent Video & Filmmakers

"The Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers (AIVF) is a national trade association based in New York City, that provides support for individual producers and advocacy for the media arts field. AIVF is supported by sister organization the Foundation for Independent Video and Film (FIVF). "AIVF / FIVF [represents] independent media artists working at all levels across all genres. Our mission is to increase the creative and professional opportunities for independent video and filmmakers and to enhance the growth of independent media by providing services, advocacy, and information." Site includes an area for ordering books, selected content from monthly magazine The Independent, information on advocacy, a discussion area, and information on regional salons.
