"Founded in 1953, AAFA serves the 50 million Americans with asthma and allergic diseases. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., AAFA has a full-time professional staff and a national network of 12 chapters and more than 120 educational support groups to provide community-based programs and raise funds for asthma care and research. AAFA's web site provides online access to the latest information on asthma and allergies for the public and health professionals, an online catalog of asthma and allergy resources and much more."
The Food Allergy Network

"FAN is dedicated solely to bringing about a clearer understanding of the issues surrounding food allergies. Our mission is to increase public awareness about food allergies and anaphylaxis (a severe, life-threatening reaction), to provide education, and to advance research on behalf of all of those affected by food allergies." The website includes information on research for food allergies, FAN membership, recipes, access to resources, and links to related sites.
