The Ask an IPL Librarian Reference Service will close between academic terms beginning December 20, 2007 at 10 p.m. (EST). We will reopen the service on Monday, January 5, 2008 at Noon (EST). Almanacs
Almanacs give all sorts of information, from weather to what time the sun rises and sets to information about places around the world.

- This is the online version of the World Factbook, which includes information on every country in the world - from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, like geography, people, government, and more. There is a also map collection.

- A monthly magazine formerly published by the Franklin Institute for "inQuiring minds". Articles from 1995-1999 list events in history , spotlight a variety of topics that are indexed in the archives, and even give puzzlers.

- The Old Farmer's Almanac

- This is a web version of The Old Farmer's Almanac, "North America's oldest continuously published periodical" which is published once a year in September.
