Gift From Within: An International Organization for Survivors of Trauma and Victimization provides information and support for people dealing with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Resources include links to articles on topics including addiction, automobile crashes, grief, sexual assault, and resiliency. This site also includes links to support networks for those with PTSD.
National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

"The National Center for PTSD is a world leader in research and education programs focusing on PTSD and other psychological and medical consequences of traumatic stress." The site includes fact sheets and research articles about PTSD and treatment for survivors of many kinds of traumatic stress. There is also a searchable database called PILOTS, "the largest database devoted to traumatic stress literature in the world. It contains citation and abstracts for journal articles, books, and other published writings on traumatic stress." Full issues of the PTSD Research Quarterly are available for download as PDF files using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
