The Ask an IPL Librarian Reference Service will close between academic terms beginning December 20, 2007 at 10 p.m. (EST). We will reopen the service on Monday, January 5, 2008 at Noon (EST). - This site is dedicated to the lives of Jewish queer youth. Here you can connect with others who share your experiences. You can join an anonymous e-mail discussion group, subscribe to the newsletter, or attend events in your area that are set up for members of the organization.

- This site is an offshoot of an Ontario-based toll-free helpline. You can call their number with any questions or concerns you may have, or surf the site to find a wealth of resources for queer teens.

- Written by Ciara Torres, this essay addresses the fact that one-third of all teenagers who commit suicide are gay, despite the fact that gay teens only comprise one-tenth of the teen population.

- Learn about the problem of the spread of AIDS in teenagers. This site, prepared by a Harvard Researcher, offers teens the chance to ask about AIDS and other issues. You can find information about avoiding AIDS, including information on risks associatied with tattoos or body piercing. One purpose of the site is to assist teens and their communities to become part of PeerCorps, groups of teenagers that can help each other learn about AIDS. Note that the "Dr. John" on this site is NOT a medical doctor, but a doctor of education. This site has a long list of hotlines that teens can call.
