10 Cloverfield Lane is an intense sci-fi thrill. Before going to see this film, I already had an idea in my head of how the film would be. I saw the first one and I was completely disappointed with the entire film. After learning that J.J. Abrams would be the producer of this film, it raised both my excitement and expectation of the film. The combination of the acting, special effects, and sounds completely made this movie better than I could've imagined. Most of 10 Cloverfield Lane takes place in an underground shelter that the main character, Howard (John Goodman) builds for himself. Since the film takes place within the small confines of this shelter, it relies heavily on the actors performances more than anything else. This isn't the type …show more content…
There isn't as much soundtrack music compared to other thrillers so the film relied more heavily on the sounds that seem to come from both inside and outside of the shelter. Michelle often uses sounds to convey where she is and deduct whether or not it truly is safe to go outside. The sounds of the film are heightened in order to give to film a more unsettling and tense feeling. Invisible sounds help to create these feelings such as the creaking of the stairs, opening and closing of locks, moaning pipes, and when Michelle believes that she has heard a car above her room. The sounds are used to tell the inner story and convey Michelle’s emotions as she struggles to deal with her current situation. The few songs that are in this film also help to create an emotional setting for the both the audience and the characters as we all try to determine what might happen next. In the end, 10 Cloverfield Lane is one movie that you shouldn't miss. It is like no movie of its kind, especially the original Cloverfield. Although I might not be willing to fork over another $8 to see this film again in theaters, it is definitely one that I would pick up from Redbox. Overall, I give 10 Cloverfield Lane a 7.5. The combination of the acting, special effects, and sounds help to create an emotional thrill that will keep you
This movie is meant to be the prequel to Cloverfield and sets up how the entire incident in New York happened. Within the movie we see that a group of scientists from around the world board a spacecraft and head to space. There, they try and figure out how create a sufficient unlimited power source to save the Earth from power depletion. In order to create this power source, the scientists fire up this machine that accidentally create this portals to other dimensions, and as a result, the monster in Cloverfield is able to transport onto the Earth and wreak havoc on New York City. Although these movies are connected in their storyline, they also have many differences.
Even a normal, average college teenager can turn into a monster in the right circumstances. This movie has been the hardest hitting movie i have watched to date. When it started, it seemed like a good experiment that might have some interesting developments. By the end of the movie, I had a sick feeling in my stomach. After watching the movie, I do look a little more into the experiment.
Overall, the movie was underwhelming, it had its moments, but overall it was not too memorable. Most of the characters were hard to sympathize with, as
About a month ago I rented the movie 10 Cloverfield Lane from red box. This movie had quite a bit of abnormal behavior. One of the main characters Howard, seem to be suffering from some type of mental disorder. It seemed that he had abducted a young girl. He locked her up and would not let her leave.
Specially Jack Nicholson’s character R.P. McMurphy who was the main character of the movie. The thing McMurphy did to fake his insanity and stay at the asylum were thought out and did a good job of keeping the audience thinking of if it would actually work. Besides from what the characters were like the music was also fitting
People around us has a great influence on the formation of our character. The main personage of the novel Catcher in the rye by J. D. Salinger is a seventeen-year-old boy, Holden Caulfield, who appears to be very depressed and lonely. Due to his mental state he failed his exams, again got knocked out from another school, and quarreled with some mates. Through the pages of the novel we saw that Holden was trying to make good relationships with family members and some acquaintances, but at the same time, he pushed them away due to his behavior. He really loved his family, especially his younger brother and sister.
It offered comedy, drama, action and much more. All around it was a great film for everyone to enjoy. There were two main small
10 Cloverfield lane (2016) follows Michelle after she awakens from a car accident and finds herself chained to a pipe in the wall. She soon learns that she was brought to the ‘basement” by the rather intimidating Howard. The basement is actually a doomsday bunker with three occupants: black belt in conspiracy theory, Howard: his former repairman, Emmett: and Michelle, whom Howard saved from her smashed car. With an utterly confusing opening and closing critics initially despised the film, but then praised it for its tension building soundtrack; it is nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award. 10 Cloverfield lane un-praised for its less than climatic ending, is praised for its soundtrack and tension building camera shots that create the white-knuckle psychological thriller.
Clover begins by portraying the fact about how slasher films remain ignored by the reprovers. She uses the example of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Page 67) quoting reprovers who accolade the narrative swears Massacre to be imbecilic and a “vile little piece of sick crap". Although, today slasher films continue to be popular and are not ignored by the viewers especially the teenagers. The reason abaft this is that slasher films are direct in whatever ideology they are presenting, unlike the other genres where they may obnubilate their ideology in tropes.
The screeching of cars, honking and screaming (15:50) allows the audience to know the area in which the movie is taking place. These diegetic sounds create a natural and real feeling and help the watcher figure out what type of environment the movie is set in. The film also includes other diegetic sounds, such as music. In the film's first few minutes, lots of music was playing. The music playing in the film was softer than it would have been if it were inside Jeff's apartment.
I enjoyed the style of the film. Although many other films have a more sophisticated look, this one is simple, but it captures the audience's attention. The unique art style makes it easier to understand their emotions. Each scene in this movie is hand drawn, which is uncommon for Pixar. The animation captivates the audience because it differs from what they are used to.
The situation which a child live in his family is remarkable in his daily life. In fact, his school result could be impacted also his mood and hi social relationships. The impacts that dysfunctional families give to children are negative. These impacts could be physical when the child is subject to violence, but they are also mental. The children’s behavior in social life could be unusual.
Crash is without doubt a film worth seeing, especially because it is essential to be conscious of those ethnic and economic matters which are the focal points of the movie. Therefore, Crash is distinctive because instead of screening characters at their finest side, similar to most admired movies do constantly, the characters are outstandingly instead moved forward to their individual affecting realities in the United States of America
I digress though. For the time when this movie came out the effects, sound, and story was astounding. All movie series need a movie where the hero is at a low point and this is that movie
The plot is superb with no holes. The acting, from the main characters to the supporting characters, is wonderful. And the cinematography shows how impactful the scenes are. These elements highlight the film.
