Life used to be a miracle; a high-esteemed gift that was respected. Today, life is nothing more than an inconvenience; a discomfort; a nuisance. Over one million lives are stolen from innocent human beings in the United States each year (“U.S. Abortion Statistics.”). This is not caused by car accidents or suicides. This mortality rate is the result of the murdering of innocent children. Abortion can be proven wrong by the scientific evidence, the emotional evidence, and personal beliefs.

There are many sensitive polarized viewpoints regarding the abortion debate. According to “How an Anonymous Spy with a Video Camera Infiltrated Planned Parenthood and Reignited the Abortion Debate” written by Alex Altman, David Daleiden had an interest in the abortion debate from a young age. In junior high Daleiden joined his first anti-abortion group, then continued his interest throughout college. He also formed his own anti-abortion group Live Action, which is known for secretly videotaping Planned Parenthood breaking the law. Daleiden stated, “It exposes the truth in a way that doesn’t rely on media outlets to report it.”
Most abortion arguments discussed today revolve around the premise that a fetus is a human being at conception. In Judith Thomson’s essay, “A Defense to Abortion”, she argues on the topic of abortions. She defends the mother’s right to choose what happens to her body on the assumption that a baby becomes a human at conception. In the argument, she gives the famous Violinist analogy. I will argue in this essay that her argumentative analogy is not sound because of the difference in social importance.
My final paper will be on one of the most controversial issues: abortion, where both sides of the controversy having equal supporters. Not to mention that both sides have the same common goals of making abortions safe and decreasing the number of abortions. Abortion is surrounded by many questions, as it is that the terms definition should not be in question. Therefore making it very important that the term is defined in a clear way so readers can fully understand the word and meaning of it. If they don’t have that you have already lost them on your stance on the topic at hand.
Rough Draft As human beings, it is forbidden to kill or murder people. Why should killing an innocent new soul be okay or outright legal? Every legal surgical abortion stops a beating heart and terminates a life. Killing a fetus that has a soul ready to live is morally wrong!
Although we know some reasons why abortion is wrong, but we do not go into depth why these reasons are wrong. For example, abortion can have harmful effects on women emotionally. One of the harmful effects
Abi Parette 8 February 2015 Professor Dunn Comp 102 Abortion Advertisement Abortion is a wrong and inhumane act. There is not another action in this world that should disgust people more than abortion. A fetus is defenseless and innocent without the ability to save itself. Depicted in this advertisement is a picture of a woman with a baby hanging from a noose inside of her silhouette. Not only is abortion wrong, but it is an immoral act that should be highly illegal.
Thesis Statement: Abortion has been a major topic throughout the years, there has been much debate between pro-choice and pro-life but if people can come together to reach comprises it could help society make positive progress. There are many different views and opinions on abortion in today’s world. Some would say that abortion is wrong and others would say it is right; and some would say it is wrong or right depending on the circumstances. When writing a research paper finding the best sources is key. For example, Guttmacher Institute’s article called Facts and Consequences: Legality, Incidence and Safety of Abortion Worldwide published in the Fall of 2009, written by Susan A. Cohen was found to be ineffective for backing up my claim of why abortion should be illegal; however The Wrong of Abortion written by Patrick Lee and Robert P. George was found to be effective in backing up my argument. In order to be aware of an effective or ineffective source you must analyze by compare and contrast of how the authors are organized, how they argue their points, and how credible they are for using them as a source. All three of the authors make their thesis very clear. In Susan’s article

Utilitarianism is an ethical theory that believes that the best action is the one that maximizes utility.

English Should Abortion Remain legal in the U.S.? Abortion is one of the most controversial topics in our time. Many people believe that abortion is immoral and it should be considered as murder. Alveda King once said “Abortion is not health care. A woman has a right to her body, but that is not her body. What about the baby?” Human life begins at conception, not birth. According to the dictionary life is defined by “an organismic state characterized by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction.”
