Medieval advances in warfare materials, and everyday inventions helped medieval people live a better life than the people before them. The lives of these people were impacted by all the inventions, and the warriors lives were changed by all the weapons and armor. This will demonstrate how the weapons and armor helped the warrior’s lives, what the weapons and armor were made of, and how the inventions changed the lives of normal citizens. Medieval armor was first started in around 500BC, which was made of mail, or chainmail, and made of interlocking iron rings, which were welded or riveted shut. Advancements in the pharmaceutical industry were immense and completely changed the entire industry. Drug discovery allowed for new medical machines and new types of care. These new machines completely grew the industry because life quality and expectancy was increased. Millions of jobs of high pay such as doctors, researchers, therapists, and more were created in response to the high pay and new medical technology. These jobs allowed the growth of healthcare and research which paved the way for shaping its role in the U.S.
The way of life and the different aspects on daily life was changed in some form of way. Two of the obvious changes were population growth and the average income. The Romans adopted the armor soon after it gained popularity in Europe. Although the Romans used Bronze, leather, and iron, later civilizations used higher strength materials, like Kevlar. A very strong, but rigid, material Kevlar is used today in bulletproof vests and protective gear for armed services. Utilizing the same concept that ancient Romans and Europeans developed, we split the kevlar into plates and cover the body with flexible pieces in between to allow for mobility. Plate armor has remained popular even today due to its cost effectiveness and relative protection.
The cushion material inside the helmet is unknown ,but is often thought to be thick leather or sheep skin to soak up sweat and prevent rusting. With the combination of gunpowder and a bamboo tube, the first form artillery was created. Being able to launch rock, metal, and arrows, people soon took a keen interest in the new tactic of war. Artillery began to expand rapidly throughout Asia and the 13th century Europe. Cast iron tubes with smooth bores were developed with the capabilities of firing iron balls and scrap metal.
This resulted in a never seen level of productivity across every field of work. Profits for businesses were rising from the continuously increasing levels of production, while older workshops were replaced with assembly lines and factories.
Without this kind of advancement from these men’s multiple inventions and factories which created many jobs. The World would still be thirty years behind in technologies. Jobs were created in droves because of these men, which means a lot of people got to work and a lot of people were able to support their families. The opportunities that were opened up for the average American were increased ten-fold because of the rapid expansion that these men were creating. Heroes need weapons to defeat their enemies, and it is no different for the hero Beowulf in the epic poem Beowulf. Beowulf uses all sorts of weapons throughout his many battles with monsters. Each weapon that he uses there is attached a cultural significance. There is a cultural significance attached to each weapon that he uses, ultimately aiding him in his survival and his killing of the beats. As he grows older, he needs to wear more armor and fight with stronger weapons to be able to kill his enemies.

During the middle ages citizens were forced into religion and faced the issues following feudalism, hunger, disease, and war.
Samurai and Knights DBQ From about 1000 - 1600 CE, samurai warriors in Japan and knights in Europe formed the military of both places. Samurai were professional warriors that protected their territory. Knights were warriors that fought on horseback,their were very powerful because of there training. The similarities between the knights and samurai can be seen in their training, armor and the codes of both europe and Japan.
Advancements in Weaponry Throughout America’s history of war, weaponry has played a major factor in conflict. Weapons were improved for the benefit of the American soldiers. Since American war instruments have been improved in technology, the U.S was able to exceed over their opponents in war from the Colonial Era to the Antebellum Era. The usage of improved weaponry was a major advantage for the United States.
During the Elizabethan Era, weapons were as common as the cloud, however the distribution in quality was separated by monetary values. The rich, upper class, nobles were well taught, and carried along with them weapons that suited their image. The rapier, for example, as mentioned by Bull ”Are the underlying source of nobles” (pg 72.) However, at the opposite end of the spectrum lies the dagger. A common crass weapon used by many of the lower class individuals.
The agricultural technology that was invented during the medieval ages resulted in social and economic developments which affected the lives of those living in that period. The new machinery allowed the townspeople to grow a surplus of food and in result learn new specialties and trades. “When these people could produce a surplus, they were freed to do other things, which provided the basis for towns, cities, and civilization”( flowofhistory.com).
