The urge to be successful is the one thing that drives me to wake up and it is what gives me the power to make sound decisions over my life. The urge to be successful is what keeps me humble and is the key to my personal excellence. My matriculation through college has been a journey of excitement, privilege, opportunity, enthusiasm, pain and struggle, but most importantly my journey through college is still an outlet that teaches me who I am.
During my freshman year in High School I was devastated because I quit the band, something I have been doing since fourth grade; and for the most part I kept to myself and stayed in my room. I only ventured out when it was time for me to go to class, eat, a few University functions, and to work. I made friends from my classes who are now my support system and the people I can count on to keep me on track for my goals. My classes were not too difficult and I didn’t put a lot of effort into assignments; this left me with regrets, wishing I preformed and pushed myself a lot more. Advisors would tell me that I needed to apply myself more to receive better grades, and if I wanted to be accepted into medical

Walker, at the time a potential employee. and she forwarded me one of the greatest opportunities that I have ever applied to. I applied to the Summer Medical and Dental Educational Program at Duke University; upon acceptance into the program I was surprised how much I loved medicine. Having the opportunity to get ahead in my academics and shadow doctors that were in the top of their fields was an extreme blessing that has opened my eyes to endless opportunities. When I was in High School I was able to become a Certified Nursing Assistance, but this program outshined that because of being able to have that one-on-one contact with medical doctors that were willing to help me and answer any questions I had. I knew from that summer that I wanted to be a doctor and

success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all.” ― Anna Quindlen. Success is something everyone has, to be successful in life, school, or any other thing. I want to be successful in school.
Abstract The main goal in becoming a Dental Hygienist is being professional and knowledgeable in every aspect of dental hygiene. In dental hygiene, there are several professional roles one can choose from. Some of these roles include that of being an educator, researcher, entrepreneur, administrator, corporate, clinician, and public health. The scope of dental hygiene has evolved since it first became a profession in the 1900’s (Wilkins, Wyche, & Boyd 2017).
Not everyone can be successful. Some people were put on this Earth to achieve, while others were born into a cursed life. It’s nothing personal, it’s just fate. Many will argue that success can be achieved with enough hard work and determination. It is commonly believed that anyone can aspire to be anything if they want.
As stated by an unknown author, “Success is something earned. It is something worthwhile. It comes only to those that are dedicated and committed to their goals.” I want a successful life, one I can look back on and say was earned and worthwhile. I plan to get to success through setting goals and making a path towards my future.
When you think of success what comes to mind? In sports it’s making it to the pros. In business it’s making your first million. In high school it can be as simple as acing that test you studied for all night. No matter what profession you are in, success is the desired goal.
Everyone desires being successful and living a life full of happiness. In my own definition, there are many factors that play a role in being successful. Taking on opportunities and challenges, and having academic excellence is what I desire most in my life. The school I am currently attending is fairly small and there are very little opportunities there. I long to seek for more opportunities and involvements, to enhance my skills, thus becoming more successful.
My Intent to Be a Nurse Practitioner Coming from a third world country where there aren’t many opportunities for work and funding for education, proceding to nursing school was a grand opportunity. The privilege to attend a government subsidized school where top students in the region compete to get into the program that allowed only 60 students per year was indeed a blessing. As clinical rotations began, what was once considered a mere opportunity evolved into a true passion for caring as I truly love and enjoy nursing and helping people.
Ultimately, it's important to strive towards achieving the things you desire. Success often comes to those who put in the effort and work toward their purpose. In
The motivation, passion, and the internal will to want to succeed in life has always dwelled within me, so ultimately, all I needed was to find what interest me in life. In the beginning, I found myself staring down the road of becoming a teacher or dental hygienist. At first the idea of becoming a teacher seemed like a prominent, and fulfilling job. I get to convey knowledge to groups of young individuals, I also get to work in a setting with other mature adults who share my passion, and I have the opportunity to work with children; but, ultimately, there was just one main component missing for me, and that was the hands-on aspect. I told myself that I wanted to be involved in a career that is very hands-on.
Ever since grade school, I was passionate about working in the field of medicine, and science. I enjoyed anatomy, medical spelling and terminology, and reading about the healthcare industry. Because of my passion for healthcare, I decided to to attend Health Sciences High. There, I was given the best opportunities, such as, medical internships and college health courses. My plans and goals had turned me into a mature young adult.
I am currently an undergraduate at Rowan College at Gloucester County completing my pre-nursing studies. As I was growing up, I always enjoyed the idea of helping and healing others. My inspiration to become a nurse was watching my mother make a difference in the lives of elderly at a local senior living community as an Activities Assistant for years. Even though, she was unable to go back to school due to personal circumstances, the compassion she showed towards others around her was something special as she took care of them as if they were relatives. Whenever I had free time, I would just sit and play a game with the elderly residents hearing their life stories from when they were young.
This pushed me to start study medicine which I've become intrigued in by the help of mentors and teachers. I want to become a doctor and help serve and promote the health of
Success is found in all goals that are accomplished no matter how small or large that they are. Being successful doesn 't always mean that one must accomplish goals that are hard. To others it could be marrying the person they love. To be happy with that person for the rest of their life is a big success. Being successful at an educational standpoint would be graduating college with a degree in a future career.
First of all, who am I? I come from a family who are hardworking and achievers. Most of my family own businesses or land that they play a big role in. I am motivated and inspired to follow their pathway and do better, which is why I am always giving it my best to be successful. For example, my father was close to finishing school to become a doctor.
