He was a nice enough man, but when it came to the fine points of disputation, he simply wasn’t there. (Fast 20) Joseph Simmons lives in Lexington, MA. The Township Committee has decided to stand up against a possible confrontation with the British Army. April Morning is written by Howard Fast, in this story you will relive the night of April 18th, 1775 Cousin Simmons experience in The Battle of Lexington. Joseph Simmons, is known as Cousin Simmons throughout the book. Cousin Simmons is more of a dynamic character he grows more as a person and you start to see a lot of his characteristics.
