Also, I will gain more responsibility and learn more leadership skills throughout my time in ASB. As part of ASB, I will be able to work with other students who have similar interests and want to be fellow leaders at Medea.

I also helped run our school carnival and class booths. My suggestions that were used were the bottle flipping race and treasure hunt. As part of my responsibilities as class representative, I was responsible for getting supplies, setting up and taking down the game, and running the game when students came to play. I am a very good student, I have always earned 4’s and 5’s in every class, social skills, and work habits. I was also involved in a program called women in history at my school. We learned a speech and then presented to younger grades. This shows that I can be trustworthy enough and accountable to learn my speech in the time given. This also shows that I am comfortable talking in front of other people respectfully. I also am involved in a lot of community service projects not just for school, but from outside activities as well. I have been in multiple canned food drives supporting the organization Manna. I believe the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Science, and the Arts is the right place to continue my studies, because I love how the classes are based on the U of A academic system and that ASMSA offers an opportunity to obtain advanced college level knowledge before high school graduation. That being said, ASMSA still has a college life atmosphere which I think prepares the students to be more adjusted to what real college will be like. I also enjoy the fact that your professors are eager to help at almost any given time. On top of that, ASMSA will teach me viable skills like researching skills, time management skills, and self-discipline, also it will give me the great privilege of graduating with at least 30 concurrent hours which will
As an aspiring physician, I believe that ILS will prepare me for success both inside and outside of the classroom. Through the connections, opportunities, and support I will receive in the ILS program, I know that I will best be prepared to apply to medical school. I value mentorship and am excited to have access to faculty mentors to guide me in my progress. The close community between peers and professors intrigues me to join this community and learn from a like-minded community. I am specifically excited to take new courses such as HLSC208, to learn about connections between molecular biology and computer programming.

As a junior in high school, I was inducted into the National Honor Society for doing exceptionally well in my academic endeavors and actively participating in volunteer events. My contributions through this organization have made a significant impact on both my personal development and my community’s support services. The numerous volunteer projects in which I have participated have prepared me to continue helping others in the future. Through projects such as building houses from the ground-up with Habitat for Humanity, I have developed teamwork skills, discovered my management potential, and increased my social network, all while working to provide services for less fortunate individuals in my community. Some
In high school I have participated in a variety of extracurricular activities. As a freshmen I was a member of marching band. I was treasure and then secretary of the band council. I also did cheerleading in my spare time and got to experience leadership qualities. I was made co- captain with a few other girls and made sure I did my job right. I can convert my knowledge of leadership into my time in NJHS if I am accepted into it. I also wouldn’t stray from A’s and B’s, and even now I don’t.

As a student at Catalina Foothills High School, I believe I have lived up to the tenet of service and display ideals that the National Honors Society seek for in a student and citizen in society. NHS Leadership Essay Being involved in several clubs and activities has enlightened me with valuable life lessons that will sustain with me through my schooling and my life. Many people come across roadblocks through their journey of life. I know I've had my fair share of them. The biggest bump in my academic life was changing it completely upside down. Growing up african American or with any skin that holds the slightest of pigment is not easy, but that's obvious due to our nation's past. Racism and stereotypeing has always been there.
Prompt 1: Personal Statement I am sincerely honored and excited to be considered for membership in the National Honor Society (NHS). I believe NHS’s ideals are qualities needed to succeed in both high school and in life. I have learned in order to maximize my personal growth, it is important to dedicate myself to, not only grades, but to leadership, service, and community. Other qualities I utilize daily are respect and humility towards others and towards myself. Prioritizing is paramount to be well-rounded as I balance high honors, varsity team sports, work and community service.
