“Each dream is a spark, and the many sparks start a flame that is pure, unique, and consists of your identity” - Unknown. Dreams create who we are. They are the reasons behind our actions, and the determining factors in many choices. But all of our dreams started as sparks of passion in our childhood. For me it was the bright white basketball jersey and speaking basketball shoes that sparked my dream of becoming a varsity basketball player. It was the vibrant blue and how the silver buttons shimmered under the Friday night lights that sparked my interest in music. Ir was the loss of my dog, and childhood best friend, that sparked my lifelong dream in becoming a Veterinarian. All of these dreams became the fire of who I am. They drive me as an individual, and like fire some dreams will grow bigger and brighter, and some will be extinguished into a pile of ash. …show more content…
I became the girl I envisioned with my bright white jersey and squeaking basketball shoes. But that dream Burnt out my senior year, as I would not share my dream of playing varsity basketball due to heath related reasons. My aspirations of being in the marching band was achieved as a freshman in high school. This dream transformed into wanting the superior rating a state, which was achieved 2 of the 3 times attempted. My dream of becoming a Veterinarian has become something I build my whole life around. It is the biggest fire within me. My love for animals grew as I did, whether it was playing with the dogs or feeding our alpacas, my passion for animals grew. Only time will tell is the fire will flourish or be
Each person has been taught to hope, to have a dream. I always shot for the stars; I wanted to be a princess, obviously that didn’t work out though. As every individual ages his or her aspirations become more realistic; I aspire to have a stable job and a loving family. Having dreams is an important part of everyone’s lives.
The American dream can be defined by whoever dreams it. It could be the dream of making money so you can afford comfort for yourself and your family just as much as striving to become successful in what you pursue. How possible or impossible it is, doesn’t make it unfit for the definition of “the American dream”. The only thing what makes it valuable at all is the self-accomplishment and happiness it causes the individual who chose to go after it.
I want to become a Veterinary Tech because I love animals and I love taking care of them. I’m a people person and I enjoy working with the public. Recently, I moved into a neighborhood with a lot of elderly neighbors; I started helping them take care of their dogs. I would get up in the morning and walk their dogs before I left for school.
My American Dream consisted of me attending the University of Tennessee,Knoxville with Scholarships a little over 11,000 to pursue to become a pediatrician. After 4 years of basic medical school, 3 or more years I will attend medical residency which is hands with patients. This takes time and patience with children. Pediatrician deal with children under the age 18; trying to find a cure for their illness. Becoming a pediatrician will be something I will strive to become.
Dreaming was never a part of me. I always thought a dream was something you wish for. However, setting goals are only my objective because a goal means something you will achieve, unlike a dream, it isn’t something you wish. When you realize, that in life you don’t get what you deserve, you have to start hustling for your own good. Succeeding is one way to define who I am.
Ever since I was a young child I knew I had one dream I wanted to turn into a realty. Some kids would answer when asked what they wanted to be when they grew up where, “An artist,” “A princess,” “Rich and famous.” But at that age, I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician. Saving lives and helping children was a dream I wanted to turn into a reality. At a young age, I was taught to work hard for anything you wanted to achieve.
If I were to become veterinarian, I would need a very good education. I would also need to excel in science, reading, and math. The colleges I would like to attend would be K-State or KU (not that I like KU), and I would probably take my pre-med at Ottawa University. I plan to pay for some of my college through sports,
Canine nutrition hasn 't become as laden with diet fads as have human meal planning. But it has accumulated a number of myths which survive the ridicule of the veterinary profession. As you acquire a dog, your more experienced friends will shower you with advice, which may include some of the following affirmations: - "A clove of garlic keeps worms away" Garlic has enjoyed a reputation for centuries in the folk medicine of many cultures as an antiseptic, a treatment for high blood pressure, etc. But if your dog really does have worms, (and most of them do at one time or another), the quickest way to get rid of them is to have your veterinarian give him a specific worming medicine under his supervision. - "Raw meat makes a dog vicious" Raw
Thinking back on my life, I reminisce on what I wanted to be when I "grew up". A future as a nurse, astronaut, or singer never crossed my mind. I was determined to be the Pink Power Ranger. Why I wanted to be a Pink Ranger was simple to a second grader.
When I was a little kid I never settled on one dream job for very long, I always had too many ideas and wanted to try so many different things. The first thing I can remember wanting to be was a ballerina, specifically the prima ballerina. Then I wanted to be a painter. I imagined myself in a cute beret with paint splotches on my face, creating masterpieces. When neither of these things worked out, I figured I’d be better off just running things myself.
To dream is to desire an achievement which seems unobtainable. Most everyone has trouble convincing themselves that their dreams are within reach. Jim Carrey once said, “So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality.” This is a result of allowing dreams to remain dreams and, instead, opting to take a more reliable path. In doing so, a sense of emptiness that never completely dies out is often developed.
I agree with the padre when he says this and think that our dreams are effective motivators but they need to be supplemented with action to make them
Dreaming is a huge part of people’s lives. Dreams happen to everybody and are different to everybody. They tell a lot about a person’s life. Dreams are viewed differently by so many people. People have opinions on what makes dreams happen, what dreams are, and what they mean.
If you were to ask me what my dreams were before high school, I would have told you it was to simply be happy. Before high school I had such a simple life and could only think the endless possibilities I had waiting for me in the future, but now that time has come and everything is becoming a reality. All throughout life obstacles will be placed in your path, but it was not until now I realized that they are not put there to hurt you, but to make you stronger. A while ago, my mom had been married to a man named Martin, who happened to be the father of my two youngest sisters, Wanjiru and Wanjugu.
When asked what they want to be when they grow up, most children say astronaut, doctor, president, or veterinarian. I was one of those kids that replied “a veterinarian” when asked by others. Usually, when one gets older, that career goal changes into something different, but not for me. I did not know it then, but my dream of being a veterinarian would stick with me throughout my life, and influence the choices I make in order to reach that long-term goal. I come from a family that expresses an interminable love for animals.
