All over this world, there has never been any kind of peace or freedom. There will always be some kind of conflict or even some kind of pressure that puts a border against each other trying to reach that sort of peace. One of those things is book burnings. Book burnings have been around for many centuries. In real life and in books, like the novel Fahrenheit 451. Although, for what apparent reason? Not only do adults do it, but teenagers too. Sometimes they know what they're doing while other times they are pressured into doing it; it can either be by their friends or even their own parents. Mr.Hajdu expresses that in his book. All around the world, people will make you believe in what they believe in. A reason why book burnings turn out so popular is because so many people show up to them. Most of the time they don't know why they are there. They are just there because everyone else is. In the book Fahrenheit 451, everyone would watch on the telly or come out of their homes to see the firemen burn someone's home and books. In 1992-93 a conflict occurred between Georgians and Abkhazians. It was not a necessary conflict, but it happened. The war after the Soviet Union, Georgians paramilitaries broke into the institute of the Abkhazian Language Literature and History in Sukhumi and set it on fire. Quickly the fire was put out but the Georgians returned but with extra force. Again, they set it ablaze while their extra force backed the others who were trying to save it away.
