Book Report On Night By Elie Wiesel

The Holocaust was a very terrible history of Germany, this happened many years ago, and people in Germany were ashamed of what they did. The Holocaust started in January 13, 1933 and end in May 8, 1945. During that time Jews were sent to concentration camp. Elie Wiesel, the author of the book called Night, he was one of the Jews that got sent to the concentration camp. During that time, he had a very terrible experience in the concentration camps. In the concentration camp was all about survival. As the information gathers after finishing the book called Night, the theme for the book is, survival, it is survival because Jews were being killed, there were dangerous marches, and Jews didn’t get much food or medical care. For example, the author Elie Wiesel, on page 86 it said, “ I don’t believe that he was finished off by an SS, for nobody had noticed. He must have die, trampled under the feet of thousands of man who followed us.” As the book is saying, the march was dangerous and people were dying because they get shot by the SS, if they don’t die by being shot at, they would die by being stepped on by many men that were on the march. Also, in the book called Night, an addition to the evidence would be on page 89, the author wrote, “Beneath our feet there lay men, crushed, trampled underfoot, dying.” Elie Wiesel wants to say that, during the march, there were many Jews died on the ground, and many bodies of people were lying in the snow when Elie and his father walk out into the snow. Adding to this, the next evidence is on page 103 the author wrote, “We had been a hundred or so in this wagon. Twelve of us left it.” The Elie Wiesel is pointing out that, there were 100 Jews in the train when they have to move to a different camp. At the end, there were 12 people that left the train.
