Capstone Reflection Throughout the course of my second semester of senior year, I had been faced with my final big project of high school. This is called Capstone. For my Capstone project I had researched a topic I love, I researched and presented about Leadership at St. Johnsbury Academy and the community we live in. The three standard that St. Johnsbury Academy believe students should graduate with are communication, problem solving, and citizenship. Many thing I have learned about my own communication skills for my capstone and life are interpreting and responding to what I see, and understanding while reacting to what I hear. Through this process I have learned a lot about my problem solving, with presenting the results and the process of my capstone to others. Also citizenship has taught me that I have aspired toward excellence. Among the communication aspect of learning what capstone has helped me with I have interpreted and responded to what I have hear with other people that are expert in the topic throughout our community. I had to interpret what others thought about my topic to see if this project was …show more content…
I worked to aspire toward creating the best Capstone I could. With my capstone being about leadership it has had me grow to excel in being a leader in my life, it will help me with being a leader later on life. My project had many roadblocks I had to perceive threw, with many ideas that had got shut down I had always bounced back to still make my idea possible. Throughout the process I had learned a lot about perseverance. I believed I did a good job with the citizenship part of my capstone class and project but one part I could have improved upon was Embracing diversity. I really focused on one small subject that only reached out to one small group of people at the Academy. One part in needed improvement on was embracing
Module 1 –Discussion 1-2 What is your Capstone Topic? My Capstone will be on woman in Leadership position in corporate America. I will discuss the obstacles that some of the woman experience while in leadership position. Want to compare woman in leadership position in corporate America and woman in Leadership in other countries.
It is interesting to see how previously experiences acquired from our interaction with the CCF team, literature review, and data analysis have had a positive impact on preparing the presentation. What was unclear at the beginning, was taking form, little by little until we had our final result, and meet our project objectives. 2. What difference has the learning made in my intellectual, personal, and ethical development?
The assigned readings and the instructions in the curriculum continue to aid me in reaching my outcomes. Interaction with the students in the discussion thread and guidance from my mentors and instructor has decreased some of the problems that may occur during the final

When I joined AVID in seventh grade I was amazed how AVID works and how it can be used every day. Not only AVID helps you with your grades, but it also helps you to be more organized and a hard-working student. AVID helped me discover my full potential by showing me that I can always do better. What I mean by this is that in sixth grade I was not in AVID, I made all A’s and B’s. In seventh grade when I was in AVID, I made all A’s.
Upstage is back, downstage is front, right is left, left is right, out is up, break a leg but don't really, wings have nothing to do with birds, the catwalk doesn’t involve cats, and when the stage manager says move it means move. The theatre vocabulary is very confusing for the outside world, but for me it is my second language. More specifically, I have developed a passion for the technical elements of theatre over the years. The joy of being the “people in black” that can make amazing sets and produce incredible plays which goes unnoticed.. Although this discourse is much small yet complex it has helped me find out who I am but also in my academic skills through learning how to work in teams, solve problems independently but also how to be
I encouraged new ideas- such as finding easier ways to improve fundraising- into meetings that would be beneficial to my class. I have set an example for my class by aiding with the pep rally-as well as participating in it- and helping to organize the Sophomore Semi. Being able to lead in these activities gave me a
I led twenty-two students during their first year of college to provide them success as students. I co-taught a class that focused on study skills, UNK resources, and involvement on campus. My ability to communicate and adapt to the diversity of the class was shown through creating different learning activities to employ in the classroom. I exemplified team work by collaborating with another instructor. Through my experience as a Peer Academic Leader, I was able to hold two counseling sessions with each student per semester to provide myself as a resource.
The transition from childhood to adulthood occurs when an individual is able to recognize the impact he or she can leave upon their community, gaining life skills doing so. An accomplishment that marked my transition from childhood to adulthood, would be best demonstrated by the process and completion of a leadership responsibility when I performed my Eagle Scout Project. I joined the scouting program when I was very young, and have been very active since ever. Becoming an Eagle Scout has many challenges that a young Boy Scout must undertake, including the completion of a community-based project, which is an important step in obtaining this notable rank. The Eagle Scout Project is designed for the scout to learn different leadership responsibilities.
The most character building experience in my life was when I joined the National Junior Honor Society in middle school. Engaging in NJHS has molded me into honing the attributes of leadership, citizenship, scholarship, service, and character. For instance, involving myself in community service like Relay For Life, not only aided me with the chance to assist my community but has helped me to develop citizenship and service. Furthermore, being in the organization has made me realize that I can assume the role of leadership and guide my fellow classmates by being a role model. Consequently, I became further aware of the importance of education and have been gradually becoming, increasingly studious.
Good Evening Mr. Hallstrom, I hope you had a productive day. I have never had to write a graded email to a teacher; there is a first time for everything in a junior honors class. I am writing this email to discuss my academic life at Beckman High School. I feel that my time at Beckman High School has been very productive.
As proud as I was in this project I knew I couldn’t stop there and continued to seek out opportunities to better myself and the environment around me. Some of the favorite things I have done include attending a cyber forensics seminar and obtaining an award in a coding event for best educational game. The reason I choose Embry-Riddle as opposed to
Description Reflection is a necessary component in learning to regulate opinion, feelings, and actions. Reflection links experience and knowledge by providing an opportunity to explore areas of concern in a critical way and to make adjustments based on these reflections (Knowles Z., Tyler G., 2006). I will be using the Gibbs G (1988) Learning by Doing: A guide to teaching and learning methods (Davies S., 2012).
Introduction In this reflective essay I will reflect upon the course based on the assignments and projects I have accomplished this semester. Recent research (Kornblith, 2012:3) identifies that reflection is an active process and making sense of the experience through the understanding of one’s actions. As suggested by (Roberts, 2011:63) she states that the understanding of reflection have been used to develop an action stage, which can further help to improve my skills and knowledge towards my course. This is vital as it ensures that i get the most out of my learning experience and i could use them to their maximum benefit.
