All empires in history had a high in their history but they all eventually came to their demise. The Ottoman Empire and the Ming Dynasty both had ways they gained, consolidated and maintained their power while they were at their highest point. They had significant leaders that lead to these successful points. The Ottoman Empire covered parts of Asia, Europe and Africa controlled by their leader named Suleiman. He founded the Ottoman Empire from the Crusades. They gained power by using their advanced army and advanced weapons to attack other cities and conquer them. They consolidated by establishing trade relationships with other places to keep up their economic structure. Zhu Yuanzhang led a very strong and powerful army to take control of the Yuan Dynasty and they were successful. That led them to gain power. They consolidated by trading and it was even more beneficial to them since they were in Asia and near the water so it was easy for them to use boats to travel and trade. They also secured their borders from their enemies by building the Great Wall of China. They managed to maintain power by allowing everyone in the empire freedom of religion and fair rules and they had good economic income from trading. Some empires are very similar, while some posses many different traits. And although some can possess the same quality, their implication and utilization of that quality can create many gaps in the empire’s overall similarity to the other. China, up until the Qin Dynasty, consisted of independent states controlled by kings fighting each other for land and power. This time period was called The Era of Warring States, which lasted two hundred years. After this time, the Qin Dynasty rose to power. They conquered all other dynasties, and established a centralized government, unifying China for the first time. The dynasty that succeeded the Qin, the Han, continued the centralized government and they started a westward expansion that would encourage trade and cultural diffusion.
The Qing had Hung Taiji and Li Zicheng who were key instruments in taking over the Ming dynasty and Beijing. Both dynasties had eventful paths to power, many achievements while in power, and a particular decline in power. The empire that came first was the Ming dynasty. This group reigned for about 300 years and was in power from 1368-1644.
In various ways, Han China and Imperial Rome were politically similar yet also had their pair of differences. Two very well-known classical empires, both had highly advanced political systems for their time; Han China, lasted from 206 B.C.E to 220 C.E, and Imperial Rome, lasted from 31 B.C.E to 476 C.E. Many think these two empires where built with no previous influence, however; the Roman Empire had retained many aspects from the Roman Republic, and Han China from the Qin Dynasty. During their peaks, they controlled the majority of the world 's population because of their constant expansion of conquered lands, while their structure of administration and rule influenced many empires and future societies around the world. Aspects such as these, ultimately, led these two empires to be, arguably, the most influential societies in the world; as their legacies still live on today.
The Aztec Empire like Ottomans and the Mughals existed in the same time period 1428-152 and share some common points despite the vast difference in culture. Like the Ottomans and the Mughals the Aztecs were also a strong force compared to its neighbors terrifying outside powers who lived nearby. All three Empires relayed on war to expand its borders and influence. The Aztecs and the Ottomans also both had system that allowed for talented commoners to move up the ranks. All three empires also to some extent relied on trade to further itself or get basic goods.

Selim’s son, Suleyman, made tremendous impact on the Ottoman empire, driving it to it’s peak. Suleyman made an efficient and structured government that reduces bureaucracy. He also made law codes to handle criminal and civil actions, limited taxes, and improved citizens lives. By giving slaves education, it gives them the knowledge and ability to work in the future. He also allowed citizens to have freedom of religion.
The Roman Empire and the empire of the Han Dynasty in China were two empires of the second wave of civilization that, at their peak held half of the world’s population. These empires were similar in size however, they did not interact. Politically, both empires had a centralized government. The strategies did differ somewhat.
