Introduction
Since time immemorial, there have been many copyright cases all over the world, with the likes of Millet versus Snowden case dominating the courts in the 1800s. Many describe it as a “global scourge”. Copyright cases have never been easy to handle, and they usually happen from time to time. As such, there has been a lot of wrangles over copyright between artists, of which most have ended up in court. According to Tehranian (2011), copyright infringement refers to the act of breaking some or all of a copyright creator’s select rights approved by the federal Copyright Act. Additionally, there are three major elements that must be present for a violation to occur and these include: the copyright owner is supposed to have an admissible copyright, it is necessary that the individual who is

In their hands, the couple held a line of eight puppies in a row, hence Rogers named the photo Puppies. Rogers sold the photograph to be used in greeting cards and other associated merchandise. Later on, in 1988, Jeff Koons, an international artist, came across a postcard with the described photograph, and decided to make an almost exact 3D-sculpture derived from the picture in order to express the theme of triteness in day to day things. The two artefacts were very similar, although the puppies in Koons’ statue were painted blue and their noses were a bit overstated. Additionally, some flowers were added in the hairs of the couple. To his advantage, Koon sold three similar statues named String of Puppies and made a fortune of almost $367,000. However, Rogers discovered that Koon made a copy of his photo in the sculptures, and in turn, charged him together with Sonnabend Gallery for copyright violation. The united states court titled the case as Rogers v. Koons (960 F.2d 301) (Laws.com,

On Friday, October 2nd, I visited the Wittliff art collection at Texas State University. I was very excited at how much art I was going to see as I made my way to the 7th floor of the Alkek Library, which is where the Wittliff art collection is located in. Sadly, with all of the artwork that was displayed, I was having trouble deciding on which art pieces to write this critique on. However, two certain 2-D pieces caught my eye. Out of all of the displays in the art collection, I ended up choosing Keith Carter’s photograph and Kate Breakey’s painted photograph.
Your Honor, my client is pleading guilty to the charges of breaking the Espionage Act. Although Mr. Debs is extremely sorry for the disturbance he has caused but he was only exercising his first amendment right, peacefully. My client is aware, and has a clear understanding in what the Espionage Act is put in place for; the real problem is how could a law such as this exist? The espionage Act is in place to stop treason, and anti -americanism thoughts, but there is not enough war propaganda that exist to prohibit people from realizing war is not completely glorious. Any person that is anti- war does not make them anti-American.
The kiss showcased in the image communicates joyfulness and releases emotion (Hariman and Lucaites, 2007, p.125). The young couple is the focal point of the image and therefore directly releases the notion of joy and the country’s victory. Today, this photograph is considered one of the most iconic pictures of all time (Hariman and Lucaites, 2007, p.123). The couple’s kiss remains frozen in time, as it is now a statue that remains Time Square. Many tourists from around the globe visit the statue, as it is now part of America’s

In 1988, two years after the Bethel School District v Fraser case, another public school petitioned the United States Supreme Court regarding an action of censorship decided by the school against the school student’s journal. Known as Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier , this case will be analyzed by the US Supreme Court justices, mostly, in reference to the Bethel School District v Fraser case. The precedent of Bethel School District v Fraser case’s ruling has heavily weighted on Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier case in a sense that, once again, the Court has decided to overturn a decision of a Court of Appeals, and pronounced a verdict in favor of the School District. In fine, the United States Supreme Court will rule that a school has a censorship power, which, it could fully and reasonably exercise against the freedom

Sculptures are a form of artwork that portray a certain message towards an audience at hand. The University of Texas at Austin holds the following two sculptures which remind us of the power of artistry: Martin Luther King, Jr (1999) and Blue Woman in Black Chair (1981). The former monument, by Ana Koh-Varilla and Jeffrey Varilla, stands in the East Mall and the latter, by George Segal, sits on the 2nd floor of the Blanton Museum. Both sculptures represent a distinct human figure yet, differ in their components in relation to their size/scale, subject matter and figure/drapery. Regarding size/ scale the Varillas create a larger than life sized bronze, figure placed on a sturdy pedestal, demonstrating the concept of authority and influence.
Cambodian, Laotians, and Vietnamese fought for their freedom from the French. America sided with the French to manipulate Vietnam. Robert McNamara was a Secretary of Defense, who had the reports about the United States ' plan proceeding on Vietnam. Mainly, they were seriously secret matters : also known as Pentagon Papers. "The State of California versus Scott Lee Peterson (Case number 1056770, 2005)", was an interesting case. This case was interesting because Laci was a very beautiful and seemingly young, friendly, and happily pregnant woman with lots of friends. Her husband, although attractive, had a kind of macho tough guy womanizer type of persona about himself. It is hard to believe or fathom someone being so cruel as to kill their pregnant wife, regardless of their marital problems. Laci came up missing on December 24, of 2002, the day before Christmas.

The main issue in the Snowden controversy is the conflicting rights of private individuals and the US government with regard to the use of telecommunications and the internet. There are ethical issues surrounding this controversy and the most applicable ethical approach for this case is “Ethics by Rights Approach”. As a background, the reason why US government had declared Edward Snowden a traitor is his involvement in the leaking of about 1.7 million confidential US documents, 15,000 Australian intelligence files and 58,000 British intelligence files from the National Security Agency (or NSA) to the public. These confidential information were acquired by the NSA through the PRISM program by collaborating with big internet companies such
