Born April 14,1788 in Newark, NJ, He was the 14th child of Dr. William Burnett. When he was only three when his parents had died. Ma and Pa Ferguson both left a mark in history when they were Texas governor. I would like to cover who they were, what they did, when it happened, and why they are important. Miriam Amanda Wallace also known as Ma Ferguson born June 13, 1875 in Bell County Texas. Once she graduated high school she attended college at Baylor college for women in Belton. She is also the first women to be Texas governor and the first women to have two separate terms.

I didn’t think about really anything except, gold, and getting land for Spain. While we were on the expedition my navigation’s were wrong, so we ran into multiple storms. The Conquistador of the New World Cabeza de vaca had a purpose for taking sail in 1527. Cabeza de vaca wanted to establish settlements along the gulf coast. Cabeza de vaca's ship went off course so they had to build rafts and leave the ship after they left the ships a strong wind blew them out into the open sea.
