Here are some views as to why Donald Trump won from people around the world to CNN to twitter to Facebook.
In a conversation with some friends on November 7, 2016,Professor AkuffoI argued that Donald Trump will win the presidency of the United States of America and that should not be surprising at all. To the majority of people, Hilary’s win was largely written on the wall. Yet, the outcome of the elections is ONE BIG DECEPTION for these people. Keen observers, however, are not surprised. Here are the reasons to his prediction which also shed light on what appears to be one biggest deception in the recent political history of the United States.
According to Prof Edward Akuffo who is an assistant Professor in the Political Science department

This hurt her tremendously at the polls and cost her the election. According to CNN, “Some 12% of the electorate was African-American this year, compared to 13% four years ago. Only 65% of Latinos backed her, while 29% cast their votes for Trump. Hispanics inched up to 11% of the electorate, up from 10% in 2012. She won 55% of voters age 18 to 29, compared to 37% who cast ballots for Trump and when it came to women voters, Clinton won 54% compared to Trump's 42%. “Her numbers were down compared to Obama in …show more content…
Full stop.” Donald Trump won at least 279 electoral votes and Hillary Clinton won 228. The Electoral College can make a win into a landslide. The Media itself hasn’t helped Hillary. In general, Twitter users were more favorable to Clinton than Trump in line with the snap polls. This was particularly true when she addressed the tape of Trump’s lewd comments about women and in the half-hour after the debate. This contrasts a bit with the first debate, when Clinton’s advantage on Twitter was larger and more durable. This in turn was mirrored in the post-debate polls, in which many more Americans said she was the
In the year of 2016, the most controversial issue that occurred was the presidential election. Hilary Clinton, a Democratic nominee and Donald Trump who is a part of the Republican Party, both fought for the spot to become the 45th president. Many felt that Donald Trump should not have been chosen to become president due to a stance on equality rights. Donald Trump does not believe in equality for genders and races and he makes it known on twitter. However, individuals presume Hilary Clinton is the better candidate because she has experience in the political field and has a devoted her time in reaching for justice.
It also shows that Obama is not above the people, but he is one of them and will work with them on this long
The election of 2016 was the 58th Presidential election in the United States. The two frontrunners for this election were the business man Donald J. Trump from New York for the Republican Party and the United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also from New York for the Democratic Party. Both campaigns were rattled with controversy and
Watching this year’s election was shocking. Against all predictions, against every analysis, Donald Trump became the president-elect of the United States. But were those predictions really off? As the LA Times put it,” Hillary Clinton got roughly the same number of votes that President Obama received four years ago en route to his reelection, but she nonetheless lost the presidency to Donald Trump, who came in at least 2.8 million votes behind her.” This is, of course, because of the electoral college.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by slightly under 3 million votes. However, she lost the Electoral College by 77 votes. For the 5th time, the person who won the largest portion of the popular vote lost in the Electoral College.
She presents her own opinion but backs it up with facts, using logos with merit. Mrs. Obama has seen Mrs. Clinton’s life-long devotion to the nation’s children--advocating for kids with disabilities, and fighting for children’s health care and for quality child care. Mrs. Obama speaks of Hillary Clinton’s character. She tells the audience about Mrs. Clinton’s grit and perseverance and makes an effort to back this up with the fact that she lost the election eight years ago and didn’t get discouraged because she genuinely cares about the country. She doesn’t only mentions what she has done for the children, she mentions the roles she’s taken in the government: First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State.
Without a doubt, most people know about the elections that had taken place only a couple of years ago. However, some people are unaware of what caused our current president to win. To put it simply, there is a system called the Electoral College that has been around ever since the U.S. Constitution was made, where certain people (electors) are selected in each state to vote for a candidate. However, it operates on a different scale than popular votes, where if a candidate gets the majority of electoral votes, they win the election, regardless of how many popular votes they earned. Obviously, this system has caused many conflicts within politics due to how it overrules the popular vote, essentially making it useless, and complicates presidential
Take your prize. You have earned it. You have really earned it. The man who you voted into the presidency is a man who makes us horrified of being a citizen in this country. I do not know what to think because I cannot wrap my head around the decision.
Hillary Clinton would have won the election based on the popular votes. From the 2016 US election results, Hilary has 574,064 votes more than Donald Trump. The Electoral College votes can be an unfair advantage due to some of the states having small numbers of electoral votes. Donald Trump conquered states, like Alaska, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming with 3 electoral votes and much more that have less than 10 electoral votes. This situation has happened 4 times in elections, such as during the year 2000, Al Gore had half a million popular votes than George W. Bush, but he lost due to electoral votes.
In the 2016 presidential election Donald Trump, a generally unfavored Republican candidate, won presidency under the Electoral College. Democrat nominee, Hilary Clinton, on the other hand, won the popular vote—the vote that represents the actual votes of the citizens, not the electors of each state. Clinton won nearly 3 million more votes than Trump and lost the election because of the Electoral College. The George Bush v. Albert Gore Jr. 2000 presidential election results demonstrate the same outcome. Gore won the popular vote, but ultimately, Bush won the presidency because he won the Electoral College (Boxer, 2017).
The official stopped. "What's wrong?” (Pg. 8) Discussion: The cause of his mistake made a huge effect in the future that has changed who won the presidential election which will probably cause a lot of bad things to happen since someone else was supposed to win
The Freshman 15 is a thought that crosses the minds of most future college students, but most say that it won’t happen to them. This fear of losing a toned body after graduating high school bothers some more than others. They realize after high school there are no longer athletics, and they’ll no longer be exercising regularly. Also, when they depart from their parents house and begin to live on their own their eating habits change.
In this statement, Obama is building external credibility with his audience. He is
The speaker, Kerry Washington, which many of us know from shows such as Scandal, Fantastic Four, and many other movies and show, was very enthusiastic and took on the character of a woman who learned English in the south, hence the southern accent. Kerry Washington’s posture was very confident and almost defiant. She moved her hands to show emotion and sassily sways and puts her hands on her hips once and awhile. I don’t find any distracting mannerisms about the speaker. Kerry Washington connects to the whole audience because the receptors of the speech are all women, and some of them are black women who are still fighting for equal rights.
I. Introduction Donald Trump: American Hero or Villain? For many Americans, Trump is seen as the long-awaited saviour of the nation. Others see him as the man to start World War III.
