My life has been a struggle at times, but my hard work, self-confidence, and eternal passion for my education and my community will outstandingly prepare me to be a successful member of this community at East Carolina University. I have had many different educational experiences that I feel have been beneficial for me. These things include Advance Placement and Honors classes, clubs, and volunteering for different organizations. I am a hardworking and challenging student, who likes to take Advance Placement and Honors classes and challenge herself. I have taken 3 AP classes previously, and currently enrolled in 2 for senior year of high school. AP classes have prepared me for college classes which take time to study and comprehend. I have also taken plenty of Honors classes, by having the opportunity to expand my learning. I was involved in Cure Club, HOSA Club and Beta Club my junior year of high school. After I changed high schools, after my junior year, I joined HOSA and Beta again at my new school. HOSA club is a great educational experience, especially if you are interested in going into the health field. My …show more content…
I volunteer for different types of things like my doctor’s office, family business, and religious organizations. I volunteer at my doctor’s office by helping the nurses with the patients, and cleaning up after them. I volunteer to help manage the family business and give them a hand with different tasks. I spend an abundant time volunteering for religious organizations like Indian dances and activities by organizing events and planning things out. I have had many different outstanding educational experiences in my past, like AP and Honors classes, clubs and volunteering in my community. My educational experiences have taught me to challenge myself and become a part of different organizations related to serving the community, which will prepare me to be a successful member for the East Carolina University
I am writing to apply to become a certified instructor for the UConn Early College Experience (the “UConn ECE”). My background and qualifications make me uniquely qualified to be a certified instructor for the UConn ECE as I have Masters Degrees (CAPITALIZATION???) in both education and Special Education and in addition to my high school teaching experience I also have twenty years’ experience teaching history at Hillyer College at the University of Hartford. I am passionate about history, which I believe is more about the study of historical developments and trends rather than the memorization of dates and facts. My enthusiasm for history is most evident when I am teaching as demonstrated by my highly energized and animated lecture
It would be remiss of me to try and write about the adversities I have faced as a high school student attending Blythewood High School, without first reflecting on the many blessings I have been awarded. I attend a wonderful school with some of the best teachers in South Carolina who provide quality education and the tools that I must use to succeed in any field of life. I was also fortunate enough to grow up in a nuclear household with two educated parents who were able to help me with anything that I lacked in, whether that may be hiring a tutor for me or sitting at the kitchen table late at night to help me finish my homework. The adversities that I have faced are miniscule in comparison to some of the students that I sit right next to in class, but I have had my share of difficulties too. I remember starting my freshman year at Blythewood High School thinking about all the changes that I would have to face, transitioning from Kelly Mill Middle School to this large campus in this little town of Blythewood.
Brenau University is a well-known school for its academics and sports. The all-girl university has many sports like soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, and swimming and cross country. The standards to play in this particular private school are high and the coaches have high expectations. I ran in cross country, but I didn’t qualify for full tuition scholarship in college. I have many classmates that played a sport in high school and didn’t get a scholarship.
I believe my drive to be the best I can be every day, and my outlook of being a difference maker would be a valuable addition to the UCF community. I believe anything can be accomplished
As the admission committee is reviewing my academic history, a strange glitch may occur - an entire year of high school has completely vanished into space. Yes, I am a non-traditional high school student chosing the path of early graduation. High school is too immature for my taste. Everything is based on popularity and everyone is, negatively, connected in one way or another, resulting in judgmental opinions lurking in every hallway, classroom, cafeteria. For me, high school is not and never will be identified as "the best four years of my life."
According to Cohen, Brawer, and Kisker (2014), in The American Community College Book, colleges were established to train workers to operate the nation’s expanding industries. In addition, business people supported community colleges in order to ensure workers were trained at the public expense to work for their companies. Community colleges were committed from the beginning to serving the needs of their local communities (Cohen, Brawer, Kisker, 2014). However, O’Banian contends that although the community college still serves the community’s needs, the needs of the community has changed and the community colleges are evolving to meet the demands of a more complex community.
I have volunteered at my hometown 's hospital, Los Robles for 4 years now as a floater and ER volunteer. As a floater, I would go around the hospital doing various tasks and in the ER I would have to check in patients and monitor them and their families. At my university, I have volunteered at the Veterans Home. Currently, I am the secretary of my university 's AMSA
I want to enroll in Pre-AP English because I think it could help me in several of ways. This can help attain my goals because it helps me receive a higher gpa. I plan to contribute to Maricopa High School community by joining student council, if I join student council I would be involved in more things and can help at any events, I am committed to go above and beyond and I am self-motivated to do anything necessary. Skills that I have that are essential for advanced placement include someone who will try their best every day, someone who will go above and beyond in completing their assignments and are respectful and responsible.
Picking to attend a Community college for me is the best choice that I picked for my education. Community colleges provide a great service to students in many more ways other than just education. They help students who are unsure what they want to do or are unable to attend a four year university. Community Colleges also provide continuing education even after they have gotten a degree and a job.
In high school, I was involved in the National Honor Society allowing me to serve my community on a regular basis. We participated in everything from picking up trash on the side of the road to raising money to support our local library. During college, I have been able to volunteer and participate in student-led research programs. I also enjoy getting to volunteer my time at my local elementary school as a teaching assistant.
I'm currently in the Boy Scouts of America and we do a lot of volunteering at all sorts of different places. We do this event every winter called "Coats for Kids", where each kid/aldult get two coats a piece and we help them pick out what best fits their style. Participating in this event helps people all around the community that are in need of a new jacket or coat which there is always a lot of. I also volunteer downtown with The Volunteers of America and we help feed the less fortunate on Wednesdays.
Ever since I was a little boy attending college has been a goal of mine. Attending UA Early College allows me to accomplish that and it allows my college career to begin. It also allows me to jump-start my college career. This provides me with academic challenges that serve to help me with higher learning and future endeavors in college. Utilizing this opportunity, my goal of completing college timely becomes more of a reality.
I would like to take Advanced placement class because it is a way to challenge myself, as a student to take more responsibility and become more independent. I know AP classes are rigorous and demanding classes that require lots of studying and homework. It is a way to show colleges that I 'm up for the challenge. Another reason is it will help me arrive yo college prepared. It will help me improve my writing skills, study skills, and more.
I have done and accomplished a lot while I was at East Wake Academy. In the first two years of being there I made an impact on majority of my teachers. I was a smart student who normally at the end of the year got the highest average or most improved awards in the class. In my last two years I was invited to observe the Zebulon Chamber of Commerce meetings. It was a great experience to go to the meeting to see how they planned the budget for the two of Zebulon.
It’s my desire and inclination to work towards success that has lead me to pursue business and aspired me to attend Washington
