Fat acceptance: A basic primer Critique essay Cynara Geissler’s article “Fat Acceptance: A Basic Primer” was first published in Geez Magazine in 2013. In May of 2013, my grandma was waiting in front of the preschool to pick up my little cousin when she was stabbed. Her killer’s name, Nahn at the time I only knew his first name. It was not until a few days later that I discovered his last name I was familiar with it because it was my last name, Dong. The reason I did not recognize his name was because the only Nahn I know I call him Uncle.
