SYNOPSIS
S10, Ep22 Protection – A schizophrenic subject who has gone off his medication goes around Los Angeles shooting individuals who are committing a criminal act looking for the guy that killed his mother.
BAU PROFILE
After doing their initial investigation the BAU addressed the public to give a profile of the individual who is committing the murders in Los Angeles. They profile the individual as a white male in his 20s, they call a moral enforcer. He is mission oriented, and believes it is his duty to clean up the streets instead of the police. He was a victim of a violent crime himself in the past. They believe the unsub lives in the area and grew up there. They also believe the unsub is severely antisocial and may hold a part time job.

They determined he was committing the crimes because of an event that happened in his past which was the murder of his mother. They based their profile of the unsub living in the area and growing up there because all the murders happened in small area rather than spread out over a long distance. They called the unsub severally antisocial because he had no connection to any of the victims and did not have a calling sign, he also did not stick around and was gone before the cops got to the scene. They diagnosed him with having a mental disorder with his last murder where he shot a man who was kissing his girlfriend yet he thought he was raping her. This is where they found out that what he was seeing and thinking was not real life and he was delusional. Researchers found violence committed by the mentally ill to be the result of factors such as substance abuse, antisocial personality disorder, and homelessness, and noncompliance with medical regimens (Walsh, 2013). In this episode the unsub is antisocial and was noncompliant since he stopped taking his medication that was
Investigators are in the process of sending necessary paperwork to the victims phone company in an attempt to ping her cell phone. Due to the victims criminal history and the fact that she knew the victim would have the cash for his rent at the apartment, it is believed that she and the black male suspect were working together to steal the victims rent
These individuals are often plagued with addiction problems, such as alcoholism. They also have trouble with connecting with their morals, meaning they have trouble identify what is acceptable or not, and right from wrong. These batterers are impulsive and provide little or no warning before violent outbursts. Because of their erratic behavior, treatment
As stated in Chapter 8, “Police officers exercise great discretion in handling the mentally ill.” If I was an officer, I wouldn’t want to use force on a homeless or mentally ill person unless I absolutely have to and if they have a weapon or are behaving in an aggressive manner. “Mentally ill persons are also much more likely to be the victims of crime and, therefore, are more likely to come to the attention of the police.” Serial killers choose their victims before they kill them and mentally ill people can be an easy target for serial
Earley puts a face and a personal twist on the experience and trauma that is mental illness. Earley documents how one of the Country’s largest prison has only one goal for their mentally ill prisoners: that they don’t kill themselves. The Miami-Dade County Jail has no specialized facilities for the mentally
Because in reality, unsubs are highly capable of finding them and using them against you and treating them as their victim. Lastly, they’re protected by not sharing personal information with anyone they don’t know, most Profilers keep their sensitive personal information in their files such as names, social security numbers, credit cards, or any other data information that identifies them. When they first start their training to become a Profiler they have to go through protocols, dealing with fake criminals and using defense methods so they know how to keep themselves safe against any criminal in reality. When doing their job they know the first thing they have to do is to always keep their personal information safe and private because, in case of any ongoing crimes, an unsub could always act as an undercover profiler and steal their information and therefore get a hold of they’re family members, they’re id, social
The housemate watches a news broadcast about the murder of who we just saw being shot, but he watches it with dead eyes. It does not deter him from what he’s presumably about to do. Los Niños Sicarios is a great, but dismal, insight into a side of drug culture that less of us are familiar with, despite child soldiers being a worldwide affliction. Particularly as it happens here in America. As the credits roll, we see clips of real life print newspaper articles and mug shots of some ‘little assassins’, stressing that this is not just Breaking Bad.
There are times that “treatment” of mentally ill inmates crosses the line to abuse. Kevin Demott a 19-year-old prisoner in Michigan has had a long troubled history of bi-polar disorder. He first entered the correctional system at the age of 13, when he was caught trying to rob a pizza restaurant with a toy gun. By the time he was 15, he was placed in an adult prison for breaking several rules including assaulting a guard. In January of 2011, Kevin while in solitary confinement, was found banging his head against the wall until he was severely bleeding.
On March ____th, 2017 at ____ hours, I Officer Chengpor Yang from the Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Education Center (LECJEC), 9110 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota,55445, responded to the following addres; 4560 Portland and talked to Pan Dau (date of birth: 01/01/2980) who witnessed the person that was behind or the robbery that happened to Dale Burns that happened yesterday. Dua stats the following; I was gardening at my backyard, and saw Burns drive pass my house, since I live at the corner. Burns went into the alley then took a right into his driveway. After that, I notice was an white male behind Burns (super close) with a weird behavior.
Randolph was a 32-year-old Caucasian man who sought treatment for “rage episodes” at the request of concerned family members. At intake, Randolph described ongoing “episodes of uncontrollable rage” during which he reportedly damaged property (e.g., threw objects, punched walls, etc.) and berated those in his presence, the majority of whom were family members. These “episodes” occurred multiple times per week, most frequently upon waking, and lasted up to several minutes. He indicated that sleep disruption was an apparent trigger for his rage. He often had trouble sleeping due to his untreated sleep apnea and when his young children would awaken him he would go into rage.
For the Reaction and Critique assignment, I chose to analyze the episode, “Ripped (2005),” of the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The episode was interesting and captivating, featuring principle actors Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni. Three criminal acts took place in the episode, assault, controlled substance abuse, and attempted murder. The series is known for its accurate depiction of criminal behavior and acts. This episode provided insight precise insight on a perpetrator that committed acts due to manic moments cause by a hormonal imbalance, previous parental abuse, and highlights the conflict of interest between detectives and accused individuals.
The Uniform Crime Reporting program not only reports the crimes known to the police, but also delivers information on numbers of arrests and characteristics of person arrested including the suspect’s sex, race, and age. Now in days the UCR represents a nationwide, cooperative effort involving roughly 17,000 law enforcement agencies that voluntarily report data on crime to the
Police authorities believe that the suspect had earlier invaded a home in Los Angeles for robbery; prompting them to flag down the driver, but the latter declined to stop. However,
On March 18, 2017, at approximately 1412 hours I was dispatched to 101 Buenaventura; Kangaroo in reference to a juvenile complaint made by an anonymous complainant. Upon my arrival, I observed two Hispanic male juveniles sleeping on the side of the building. I observed Kevin Serrano Santiago later identified (see incident# 17I025658/ NM 915431/D.O.B 4/18/2001), conscious but not alert as I attempted to wake him up multiple times. I observed Gabriel Alexander Lebron (suspect/NM 861569) also conscious; however, he responded and was alert when I woke him up.
Introduction The narrative is strikingly familiar. Police are called by concerned friends or family to deal with an out of control male. The callers report that the suspect has been acting in a bizarre fashion for a number of hours and has been destroying furniture in the house. They are worried that he will hurt himself and are insistent that he be brought to the hospital for observation.
He said that the killer would be inexperienced with killing someone, he would be a white male in his late 20's. He would have a sloppy appearance , have troubled history with relationships, knew the victims ruiten, was problably already a suspect. The most strange thing of the psychological profile, that would drive a volcswagon. It was later found that the man that was interviewed before was the one that murdered Karla. John Prante took Karla Brown into the basement, hit over the face with a TV tray, he then bit her and strangled her.
