Has it ever come to mind that the world would be drastically different without the invention of the automobile? The Automobile is the most technological advancement in the world. The invention of the automobile has affected life in many ways, not only creating big bustling cities such as New York, as well as changing entertainment in modern life, not to mention how it changed the American society as a whole. When the motor was invented, big cities started to gain interest in the automobile which became very popular in large urban areas.
Due to the discovery of gold in California, all of the United States turned to the west, in search of wealth. Few knew it, but a railway would be needed to transport the gold from the west to the east. One man, the secretary of war, Jefferson Davis, who also in the further became the president of the secretary, realized the importance of a railroad that would connect the east and the west. Because of this realization, Mr. Davis sent out survey parties to look for railway routes to connect the east and west from the Missouri river to the Pacific Coast.

A time period that ranges from the 1800’s to 1850’s is known as a tremendous changing time for our young country of America. These changes included the Social Reform Era, Manifest Destiny, Industrialization, and Urbanization. Changes like these took huge effect on American History. Without knowing and understanding these aspects it is very difficult to know how the development of America worked. It is important to realize that events like these let America unravel into a valuable long lasting country.
I agree with the lecturer’s main argument about race and space being constructed, how the infracstructural growth led to this social consequence, and also how these social consequences were long lasting and affected the development of Los Angeles. Water also plays a very important aspect to the development of Los. Angeles. It led to irrigation and sewer systems. .Having water gave people a better quality and new ideas of life. Although it is very important, it has led to social consequence.
The groups of people that were most changed by these new innovations were factory workers, middle-class urban residents, and midwestern farmers. There were many effects that these creations had on these groups of people. These innovations allowed travelling and the transporting of goods to be easily accomplished, made communication between others simpler and more efficient, and allowed for better and safer ways of lighting to be established. Automobiles allowed for travelling and the transporting of goods to be easily accomplished. The creation of the automobile was extremely beneficial for midwestern farmers, middle-class urban residents, and factory workers.
There are two volumes of this book which the author called a narrative history of America. It comprises the information about the years from 1932 to 1972. And, unlike other typical (and boring) history books where the information is usually jumbled in decades, each of the 37 chapters of this book covers only one year. Here, I want to dwell upon The Part 1 (Prologue) and the years from 1932-1941.

The line graph shows data on how car ownership changed in UK in the period from 1971 to 2007 . Overall, it is evident that there were significant changes in over 36 years since 1971; there were more and more families owning cars. The percentage of car household increased from 52% to 75% in the studied period.
The start of Los Angeles was simple: a rumor of Gold Rush. It gave hope to people, and that hope brought them into California. Everyone who came to California for Gold Rush had a desire, more like a dream to live as a wealthy man. This desire of money gave them power to live, power to cultivate, and power to lead the development on their city. Los Angeles developed with various people’s desires.

Transportations have changed the way people live all over the world. Automobile companies have created numerous jobs all around the globe. Automobiles have affected all aspects of society such as family life, the economy, and even the environment.
Nowadays, a lot of people have their own cars and one family might have more than two cars even. People find it impossible to live without cars but they don’t know how negatively it affects their life and even the environment around them that will affect their future later. No one can regret how cars are really important and useful in life but no one knows how it can make their life gloomy. The government should definitely start taking a step and stopping cars in big cities. Cars should absolutely be banned from big cities for pollution, traffic and accident problems.
