Hitler and His Reign of Terror

Imagine one of the worst acts in history, your freedom is taken and you are forced to hide, or be sent to a concentration camp, or worst… be sent to death- well for most of you. But who caused all this, what event am I talking about? Today… i’m going to go in depth of the Holocaust and Adolf Hitler, one of the worst times caused by one of the biggest tyrants in history. The holocaust is probably something you learned about in school or just simply heard of or discussed it with your friends. Well, if you have already learned it, let 's refresh your memory. “The S.S- Hitler 's elite paramilitary force had long been terrorizing the Jews, beating them up and vandalizing their businesses.” (Smith 16) The …show more content…

“The worldwide depression that followed the 1929 U.S. stock market crash… millions of people lost their jobs. It all made for fertile ground for Hitler’s radical nationalist ideology… to give all germans jobs and food and make them proud to be german again.” This gave leeway for Hitler seeing as his identity now consisted of one of the main helpers that helped the germans in time of need. Furthermore increasing his vote pool and later being appointed chancellor by President Hindenburg in the year 1933. So now you see, that it was all part of his plan, to make the people think he was a great man and later see him do to actions only for Germans, that severely damaged their economy and safety. Whomever was to blame for Adolf Hitler’s power is now gone, but there are now smarter people and more experienced people now then there was then. Another reason not to be worried is that the world now has laws to help people and their freedom and prevent this from ever happening again. Hitler was a bad man and the Holocaust was a bad event, but think to yourself, was the risk of the country really at stake with the Jews, or was Germany in trouble when they appointed Hitler
