Section 8 of the Housing Act authorizes payment of rental housing assistance to private landlords on behalf of low-income households. According to National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV), the likely persistence of this problem is evident on considering that the homeless veterans are identified to be younger on average in comparison to the entire veteran population. Among these, 9 percent is made up of those aged between 18 and 30, while 41 percent are in the 31-50 years bracket. Nevertheless, veterans in the 18-30 age bracket make up only 5 percent while those aged 31 to 50 make less than 23 percent. Notably, the exact figure of the homeless veterans may be impossible to establish considering the difficulty posed by the transient nature of such populations. However, estimates by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development indicate that there are 49,933 homeless veterans at any given night.

When a veteran returns home sometimes they can handle what they have seen and faced and some get post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from being in war and some take their own lives. When a veteran comes home like this it has to be hard not just on the veteran but their entire families. Its also hard on the veteran and the families when they leave for war. I think it would be for me just not knowing if they were going to return or not or if they did return could it be the same has when they left.
Veterans and our soldiers are coming home from war or getting out of the military and when they get home they can’t afford rent or they have a mental disease from war. Homeless veterans tend to experience homelessness longer than non-veteran homeless. This should not be happening to our soldiers. This is very undesirable for our troops to come home and becoming homeless. They fight for our freedom and our rights and we repay them by becoming homeless.
Veterans carry fear, shame, guilt, and regret, and as a result most veterans develop mental

I 've had many family members in the military at least one member in each branch of the military. There are some bad things about the military that might happen, which are 300 thousand and rising numbers of military veterans on the streets, why should the one that protected this country live on the streets? I chose this article because I've always been so curious of how veterans dealt with their problems after they came back home. This article helped me open my eyes a little because one comes to realize that others need help on the emotional level. I believe it's important for veterans to know what they getting themselves into before anything happens. Some guys and girls get involved in it for the money.
When Veterans where serving they probably didn’t have nice beds or nice clothes. They probably didn’t get very much food or good food. They had hard times, but they were strong during those hard times. When Veterans served they sacrificed a lot. The veterans sacrificed their family and friends not knowing if they would ever see them again.
They argue that the government should not be spending significant amounts of money to veterans or people that just came out of war. While they acknowledge that some veterans are so psychologically damaged by their experiences in battle that they cannot function properly in society and require disability payments, other veterans, they say, may become unnecessarily dependent on veterans' services. Although, all these are valid arguments that they can make, in the long run by helping veterans out it will greatly impact not only veterans individually but the society in a positive
Because of all the training that soldiers to do to make them stronger for war, a common misconception people have is thinking that veterans come back from war stronger mentally and physically. Granted, veterans may be in better shape after the war but in
