Sorrow fills everyone’s hearts today and the saddened atmosphere also laments, crying all day long. Animals, our great comrade Boxer passed away. His long ordeal finally ended, he has closed the door of life and left us. Comrades, Boxer worked in pain to finish the windmill. But despite his worsening illness, Boxer never grumbled nor asked for break, a rare virtue in any animal. Our great leader, Napoleon, sent him to the best hospital, but it was too late to save his life. Animals, let’s pray for Boxer, the greatest comrade we ever had.
Comrades, long time passed but I could still remember the braveness of Boxer in the battle of Cowshed. He alone fought against dozen humans and overpowered every single one of them under the instruction of our leader, Napoleon. Without his power and bravery animal farm may have stayed as a virtual plan and majority of us may have been slaughtered to death. All our luxury and comfort is the result of Boxer’s bravery. Let us once again thank our proud comrade for his success and determination in the battle of Cowshed.

Boxer one of the horses on the animal farm worships Napoleon and sets good examples for the other animals by working hard and being a good leader. Boxer represents the labor of the working class from the revolutionary war. Boxer contributes to a good leader in many ways such as when Napoleon is mean and does wrong Boxer is still on his side. When harsh weather conditions would strike Boxer would still be determined to get work done.
Even though Boxer is one of the least intelligent animals on the farm, he has the most morality. Beginning from this action, Boxer develops into the purest character in the story. After reading the entire story, this short sentiment impacted me more than anything else. Boxer is the physically strongest farm animal, but he only wants to use his strength to help the animals, not to kill. Even though Boxer is more than capable of killing most people, he values all life and refuses to kill again.

These ‘dogs wearing brass studded collars’ are a force none of the working-class animals wish to cross, for when they do, harsh repercussions follow. The animals that had confessed to their heinous crimes were executed by the dogs who ‘tore their throats out’. By doing so, the animals experience physical fear for the first time since Animal Farm was formed.

Napoleon represents the corrupt political dictators that have been in power before and even after the novel was written. The class that benefits least from capitalism is the proletariats. This unintelligent labor class suffers from the capitalists dominance, and is unaware of the damage they are experiencing. George Orwell’s depiction of Boxer in his novel, Animal Farm, fits precisely into Marx and Engels’ negative critique of capitalism by representing a strong symbol for the proletariat class and succumbing to the powerful demands of the capitalists.
