In the book "Night", dehumanization occured to the Jews in many ways. The Nazis dehumanized the Jews by taking them from their belongings physically, mentally, and spiritually. They did this by taking them from their homes and putting them in concentration camps and keeping all of what they owned.

They dehumanized them physically in the book Night by shaving off all their hair and giving them one outfit each. They lived under horrible conditions. They were starved tortured and burnt alive. The Nazis would burn the Jews because they thought burning them would strip them spiritually from going to heaven or hell.
