A hero is a man who shows courage. A man who is admired for his achievements and noble qualities. This does not mean a hero has to be strong or tall. Heroes can come in all shapes and sizes. Johnny Cade is a 16 year old boy that lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with six of his bestfriends called the greasers. Johnny is a very shy and small boy that nobody would ever think in their good mind that he is the best hero in the novel, The Outsiders. Johnny has did a lot of things in the novel that you would think a kid like him would never do. A hero is someone who has pride and is committed to putting others before themselves. Heroes risk their own lives to save others. In the book The Outsiders, the greasers are not considered heroes. All three of the boys; Dally, Johnny and Ponyboy are heroes by my definition.

A hero does not have to be someone who carries out a colossal heroic act or someone who wears bears a cape. A hero does not have to be someone who leaps into a burning building to save peoples lives, but in S.E Hinton’s The Outsiders, our heroes did. In S.E Hinton’s, The Outsiders, there are abounding visible and obscured heroic traits in the characters. Johnny Cade is profoundly mistreated and loathed by his family, however, he is possibly single-handedly the most heroic person in this book.
In the book the outsiders, Johnny Cade is the main hero. Johnny had saved many of kids lives from the church that was blazing on fire. As well as his best friend Ponyboy's. He also saved Ponys life when the Socs where trying to take his life by drowning him in the fountain. Even during the last moments of his life he was still thinking more about others than he was his self.
The hero in “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” is Jim. Jim is a strong character who risks his life in order to become free from slavery. Nevertheless, Jim continues to risks his life in order to save Huckleberry from various situations. There are many illustrations of this phenomenon within “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”. Jim’s bravery, loyalty, and strength portrays leadership characteristics, which reciprocates my definition of a true American hero.
I personally think Johnny cade is the hero he saved and risked his life for those kids. Johnny was already going through a lot enough at home He is only 16 years old, but has already been beaten down by the cruelty of life. Johnny and Ponyboy had to run because he might if go to jail killing a rich soc. johnny already knew he was going to die so he wrote Ponyboy note. He risk his life without one regret that's what you called hero in my mind were all heroes but, in different ways show of a woman/men true color you see the faith in them.
According to Joseph Cambell, “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” Any everyday person can become a hero as long as they have used their life for something important or special. A hero is somebody who is brave and passionate by putting others before themselves and do not act cowardly in hard situations and continue to face challenges to help others. Heroes put others before themselves to help their society. This is also considered as sacrificing which is another major part of being a hero.

People usually talk about fictional characters with supernatural powers as heroes. Soldiers, firefighters and volunteers are also often called heroes.
A hero can be anyone around you. A hero is a person who is strong, has courage, helps others, and does good deeds. Ponyboy deserves to be considered a hero. Johnny also deserves to be considered a hero too. Dally does not deserve to be considered a hero though, unlike Ponyboy and Johnny.

but that didn't stop him. Johnny Cade is the greatest hero in the Outsiders because of the courage he showed by saving PonyBoy, he risked his own life to save the children in the burning church, and finally Johnny kept living a motivated life despite his upbringing. Johnny Cade is the greatest hero in the novel the Outsiders. Loyalty goes a long way, as shown by the incident at the park. Johnny Cade showed great courage at the park.
In the beginning of the novel, The Outsiders, written by S.E Hinton, the author portrays Johnny Cade as a weak and helpless character in the book. He`s seen as a dynamic character that has gone through extremely tough times that are difficult for him to handle alone. ``He was the gangs`pet, everyones` kid brother``, if it hadn`t been for the gang Johnny would have never felt love nor affection. He always seemed to have an anxious and suspicious look in his eyes, he was a nervous wreck. He struggled in the areas of self-confidence and loving himself, that even the idea of suicide popped in his head.
The Unsuspected Hero Dally Winston: a kid who grew up on the wrong side of town, with the wrong parents, and the wrong lifestyle. Even though throughout the book he is almost portrayed as a villain, Dally is a hero in disguise to the people around him. His ability to help his friends in any situation is a trait many characters lacked. In S.E. Hinton’s book the outsiders, the Curtis brothers and their gang try to find themselves in a world where socs are superior to the greasers. According to Merriam-Webster online dictionary, a hero is “ a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities,” or “one who shows courage.”
In young adult literature there are many characters who leave a perennial impression on the reader. Many of these are considered dynamic characters because of changes they induced throughout the plot. In S.E. Hinton’s novel The Outsiders, Johnny Cade is a character that goes through a major change in personality. At first a boy who is afraid of his own shadow, Johnny turns into a gallant hero that risked his life to save children.
Heros. Who are they? They are not the ones that are fighting the imaginary villains. Heros are the ones who save others emotionally and physically and do whatever it takes to do the impossible. The Outsiders, a young adult fiction novel, by S.E Hinton, has multiple acts of heroism throughout the novel.
There are various approaches to describing a hero. There is also an infinite number of individuals who can be defined as heroes. A hero can be a person who demonstrates valor. A hero can be a champion. A hero can even save a life or even mankind.
