a Roman quote; I'm never less at leisure than when at leisure, or less alone than when alone. The Roman empire started from 750 BCE to the end of the 5th century. The question being asked is What Were the Primary Reasons for the "Fall" of Rome? After looking at these documents I conclude that the 3 reasons for the fall of Rome are natural disasters, military management, foreign invaders.
The first reason for the fall of Rome was about The plague that infected the roman empire by killing a lot of the population which would've served in the military and the flooding because buildings were getting destroyed which cost money to repair (doc f). The reason why I think the plague was a reason for the fall of Rome is that it said in the document that it killed

According to Vegeitius, negligence and laziness led to the changes in Roman military armor and training techniques (doc B). I think this is the reason why the fall happened, is that the armor they had on it was rough and the army would get hit by arrows from yards away sometimes they couldn't even fight. Sometimes the army ran away from the fight than actually go fight and some of the Romans were actually happy they were being conquered. Sometimes they would take off their armor and fight and die instantly. The fighting techniques were horrible and none of the armies liked this. the third reason for the fall of Rome was Amminus use to describe the HUns as savage, brutal, ugly, unthinking animals, ignorant, Swift moving, and ungovernable. this document helps explain the reasons for the decline of the Roman empire by showing how it got attacked very often and around this time is when the Rome empire at its weakest state (doc c and d). why I think this is a reason for the fall of Rome because of the savage Huns and the way they attacked, Romans got a beating because of the Huns they described the Huns as savage and brutal because of how crazy they
What were the primary reasons for the fall of Rome? After examining these documents the primary reason for the fall of Romewas political instability, military management, and natural disasters. The first reason for the fall of Rome was political instability. The chart from document A. In document A the chart shows us how the Roman emperors died.
One important reason for the fall of Rome was natural disasters. In document F it shows that the population decreased from a million people to two hundred and fifty thousand because of the plague. This problem helps explain why Rome fell because it shows that thousands of people died, meaning there were less people. With less people in Rome many jobs are not being
What were the Primary Reasons of the “Fall” of Rome Have you ever thought of what happened during the "Fall" of Rome? The "Fall" of Rome begin with the Roman Empire which began in 750 BCE and ended in the 5th century CE which took place in the Middle East, Northern Africa, Mediterranean Region, and Western Europe. What were the primary reasons for the "Fall" of Rome? After examining these documents about the "Fall" of Rome I've learned about what happened during this time.
Most people know of the city called Rome in Italy but did you know that Rome was a super powerful civilization for 1200 years? You may be wondering what caused such a great civilization to fall. What caused its sudden fall? The primary reasons for the fall of Rome were foreign invasions, an unstable government, and natural disasters. One reason for Rome's fall was caused by foreign invasions.
After examining these documents, my three reasons for the fall of Rome are, Foreign invaders invading Rome, natural disasters, and the citizens weren't wearing armor. The first reason for the fall of Rome is that foreign invaders were invading Rome. the map in document C shows a lot of the foreign invaders coming to Rome to invade Rome. (Document C) My reason why I picked this is that when the invaders invaded Rome, the roman army is getting weaker and other armies are attacking Rome and the roman army runs away instead of fighting back.
In this essay the reason for Rome’s fall will be identified and why they caused Rome’s downfall. The primary reasons for the fall of Rome are military problems, untrustworthy government/injustice, and natural disasters/diseases. One of the reasons Rome fell is due to the fact Rome had multiple Military problems. According to Document B “because of negligence and laziness, parade ground drills were abandoned, the customary armor began to seem heavy since the soldiers rarely ever wore it” (Doc B). Also according to Document B, “soldiers fought the Goths without any protection for chest and head and were often beaten by archers” (Doc B).
“There can be little doubt that the weakness of the late Roman army was largely due to the eventual failure…”(Document B). Due to the fact that they never wore the armor it caused them to lose a lot of wars because they could be hit by archers and caused them to lose a lot of games. “So our soldiers fought the goths without protection for chest and head and were often beaten by archers.” (Document B) Rome paid so much attention to that government they totally forgot about the army and it caused a lot of losses that were going on at wars. In the Quotes above they are explaining some reason why Rome wasn’t as strong as a lot of outsiders thought they were.
There were many different causes for the fall of the Roman empire, not just one. The Roman Empire was very strong, but eventually broke down over time for a multitude of reasons. Most of those reasons had to do with changes in Rome’s identity. Some of these changes in Rome’s identity led to the fall of Rome because they were so sudden; only portions of the Roman population were prepared for the change. Other times, citizens got into arguments because they were, in a way, too prepared.
The fall of the Roman Empire in 476 C.E. happened for many reasons. The first reason being the laziness of the Roman Empire’s military. The second reason is that many natural disasters including diseases struck the empire. The third and final reason is the social injustices that weakened patriotic spirit for Romans.
The fall of Rome was mainly because of plagues wiping out most of the population. The fall of the Han dynasty began from decentralized rule. However, outside invasions had an effect on the fall of both classical civilizations. Series of plagues began to hit the Rome Empire by the 2nd century. These plagues lowered the population drastically.
Given these reasons, it can be concluded of how Rome fell. Rome was too big and when plagues were brought over and were spread, it decreased the population and hassled the economic life because they didn’t have the resources to pay back the Germanic soldiers. When social and military issues came into play, it led to great cities being lost. Lastly, the reason the contributed the most to the fall of Rome was the weak or selfish emperors and the state being ruined because the government was not following the spirit of past
the condition of [Roman] subjects in time of peace [worse than war]...” (Document E). This quote shows that after the Huns had conquered part of the empire, many loved the idea of how their new life went with more moderate laws. The only thing they did know was that the Huns government and empire would weaken the Romans and destroy their people. Therefore, the economic and civic decay from the Huns are one of the major reasons for the Fall of Rome. Political Instability is one of the other major reasons for the Fall of Rome.
Our soldiers fought the Goths without any protection for the chest and head and were often beaten by archers. (doc B) My 2nd reason for the fall of Rome is their military mismanagement. The reason why I say their military was mismanaged is that doc B shows how the roman soldiers were getting lazy and not wanting to wear their armor in practice to the point when they got in a battle and they would die easily. The last reason for the fall of Rome is the natural disasters the Roman world was
Imagine the world's biggest statue ever begin to fall apart over many years. Essentially this is what happened to Rome. There were many reasons why this happened. There were three signifi cant reasons for the “fall” of Rome which include a weakening military, foreign invaders, and the most important of the three, natural disasters. One important reason that Rome fell was there weakening military.
While that was happening a civil war was going on. The military was in bad shape and was interfering with the politics. The three Major causes of the the Fall of Rome were Economic Problems, Socico-Politcal problems, and external invasions that lead to the country not being able to protect itself. Economically
