Your Pet has just been neutered (male) or spayed (female). This procedure involves internal surgery and therefore your pet needs extra care for some time after their surgery. Unfortunately animals do not always understand that they need rest, so you need to help them with this recovery. Immediately after When you pick up your pet from the surgery they may be a bit drowsy. This is normal following an anaesthetic and surgery. The drowsiness should reduce over the next 12 to 24 hours. There may be some bruising and pain, so your pet may not seem quite itself for the next couple of days, keep your pet in a quiet, warm place and give them small amounts of food and water to eat and drink.
