Since people would believe robert frost, he couldn't publish his original draft. Since the poem was written before world war 2, Frost was protesting the starting of a war. Seeing as Frost had friends that were political, he would know how bad things were going. Since his favorite time of year is spring, He wrote this poem about springtime.
Although it is a short poem, it tells a story in a narrative perspective. It tells about the beauty of nature, how short lived everything is.
The title Nothing Gold Can Stay shows, the poet belives Nothing Gold Can Stay.
Even though there is not a lot of repetition, the word Gold is repeated multiple times. Although it's in the title, the sentence Nothing Gold Can Stay is repeated in the poem, adding more importance to the phrase.

The poem uses figurative language to show deeper meaning, to help bring you into the reality of the dangerous time it was written. although it is a short poem, it brings you back into time and lets you see how it was durring those times
The poem uses senses to help paint a picture of the spring time when every flower and tree is blooming. It lets you see the new light of spring, using figurative language he uses figuritive language to convety deeper meaning. nature's only gold for an hour, conveys that peace can only last so long before war breaks out again. dawn goes down to day shows that, war will end and eventually the people will join back together.

The reading of the poem lets you hear the author's meaning, as he says the words they create vivid images in your mind. Even though he left parts of the poem out he still conveys his meaning. since he was scared of war breaking out, he used his poem as a type of protest against it.
