George Washington Carver
Throughout our lives we have all wondered whether or not our actions have had any historical significance, or if we will go only leaving a small mark on the world. Looking back very few people have successfully attained this immortality. George Washington Carver did.
With his love for plants and his kind heart, Carver accomplished much with the motivation given to him at a young age leaving a large mark on the world.
Motivation

This readied him for scientific breakthroughs and gave him the knowledge to teach others. With his great interest in plants and his college education, George Washington Carver was prepared to do what he wanted.
Accomplishments
Due to his motivation and his preparation George Washington Carver accomplished many things while he was alive. As reported by the biography, “George Washington Carver,” he was able to create 60 products from the pecan, 100 products from the sweet potato, and over 145 from peanuts (“George Washington Carver,”1998). After discovering new uses for these plants,
Carver insisted that they become new cash crops to replace cotton. Because of his findings,
Carver became a well renowned botanist, and people from around the world asked for his help.

Another notable accomplishment he did was his work in educating others. For example, “Carver brought Tuskegee to the countryside by creating the Agriculture Movable School, a wagon that traveled to local farms with exhibits and demonstrations” (“George Washington Carver,” 1993).

Theodore Roosevelt is one of the American presidents who are remembered for the changes that they brought or made in this nation. He was the 26th president of the United States and he is remembered for his transformations and important quotes which are useful today. Theodore Roosevelt was the most youthful president in the historical background of America amid that opportunity to be in office. He had not yet turned forty three years, the required age, when he got to be a president. He played a major role in transforming the federal government and the transformations made are still in effect today (viewpoint article; Beale).
The farmers felt that they were paying more and more to take loans and borrow money, to buy farming necessities and to sell their crops. The prices that had for the crops was degrading dramatically.
His achievements were so impressive, like his explorations, that today he is looked at and known for the great things he had discovered and done. Francisco Pizarro had not gotten where he was without trying. He had to work his way up and learn lots of new things in order to get where he had been. Francisco first started out as what was an ordinary farmer, for his times, and was not satisfied. He had a desire for joining the army, so he did.

George Washington Carver’s work with cotton, sweet potatoes, and peanuts made an impact. George Washington Carver encouraged farmers to plant peanuts instead of cotton because of the boll weevil. The peanuts could improve the soil structure and quality. Similar to the use of planting soybeans in a crop rotation with corn. With peanuts being a legume plant which means the they are able to fix nitrogen in the soil.
Some would die due to the horrible working conditions such as no water, no breaks, and harsh labor. For these struggles to end farmers needed a new leader to fight for them and that 's when Cesar Chavez came along. When Cesar Chavez came along and took control he became an effective leader because he was willing to create a union, expose the working conditions, and his methods of boycotting. One of the reasons why Cesar Chavez was an effective leader was because he created a union.

Most farmers struggled to make a living due to key issues. There was often a high tax on railroads which had cut a large profit from the farmers. The farmers had no other option other than the railroad since the farmers were often very far off westward in the Great Plains, while the market with a large population was still in eastern cities like New York. Likewise farmers had to pay a middle man in the East to sell their commodities in the East, because the poor farmers were unable to travel all the way to the East to sell their products then come back to start farming for the next year. Worth noting is that his achievements contributed to scholarship because several people and particular to his Indian community looked up to him. Besides, he and other scholars had undergone through different experiences in the hands of the white man. President George Washington knew that a lot of his accomplishments would be viewed as precedents. As being the first President, he set numerous precedents, a significant number of which are still being implemented today. He chose to be called Mr. President as opposed to the title of being called a King, he then created the Presidential Cabinet, established the term limit of two terms for Presidency and was first President to create foreign policy. In Raymond Carver’s “Cathedral,” written in 1983, the author points out that empathy and perspective are the only way to truly experience profound emotion. The narrator is struggling is sucked into his own comfort zone, he drowns his dissatisfaction on life, marriage, and job in alcohol. A man of limited awareness breaks through his limitations by socializing with a blind man. Despite Roberts physical limitations, he is the one who saved narrator from himself and helped him to find the ones vies of the world.
Since America was so young joining in on this war would have destroyed our new nation and our government recognized this and acted in a responsible manner. Therefore, our first President, George Washington, is the best candidate for a new monument to be shared by all United States of America’s citizens. Not only did he set the foundation of American leadership, he has continued to influence presidents for the last 228 years. He proved the government could work together by ending the Whiskey Rebellion and lastly, he kept our country out of a battle we could not fight with the Neutrality Proclamation.
