“No matter how full your bank account is or how big your house is, your grave will still be the same size as everyone else so stay humble!” Many today are worried about what others think about how much money one owns, or how big ones house is. However, many do not realize that in God’s eyes whether one has a mansion or no home at all, everyone is equal. A popular Italian proverb states, “After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box.” The term pawn means a person serving as security; hostage (“Pawn”). One can believe that this quote means after life, if one is a king or if one is a pawn, both go into a casket underground, or the same box. After the game is over, or after one dies, one is put in a casket just like anyone else. God believes that everyone is created equal; no matter if one is a slave, or a pawn, or a king, they are all equal in the eyes of God. However, when the time came, both of these people died. Both were buried and everyone else moved on to the next person who changed lives. Although one may see vast differences between these two people, God does not. He thinks that they are
The Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses used by 19th-century enslaved people of African descent in the United States. It was in efforts to escape to the Free states and Canada with the aid of abolitionists that showed sympathy towards them. The Underground Railroad was not “underground” and it wasn’t actually a “railroad.” The reason it was called “underground” was because of how secretive it had to be and it was called a “railroad” because it was an evolving form of transportation.
Alexander the Great, Hero or Villain? Alexander the Great was a major world conquerer, who controlled over 22 million square miles of land by the end of his journey. When he was king first he ended the Theban revolt and enslaved all the people to set an example for what would happen if you rebelled against Alexander. Then he set out to conquer the rest of the world until his death in 323 BC.
Harriet Tubman worked for the Union Army during the Civil War as a nurse, cook, and spy so she knew the land of the south very well. The fact that she knew the land of the south very well was extremely helpful for the runaway slaves when escaping through the Underground Railroad (Maschi). According to the Library of Congress, if any slave decided they wanted to stop their journey and turn back to return to their masters, Harriet would hold a gun at them and say, “You’ll be free, or die a slave”. Harriet feared that if slaves returned then hers as well as the other escaping slaves lives would be in great danger by getting discovered, being captured, and lastly being killed.

I focus on the challenge that his father Phillip left him. "Philip and his friends looked on at first in silence and anxiety for the result, till seeing him turn at the end of his career, and come back rejoicing and triumphing for what he had performed, they all burst out into acclamations of applause; and his father shedding tears, it is said, for joy, kissed him as he came down from his horse, and in his transport said, 'O my son, look thee out a kingdom equal to and worthy of thyself, for Macedonia is too little for thee' " (Alex. 6.8.). He was lead to believe that the cause of His life was to be the greatest leader and conqueror of all time. Alexander the Great's legacy is both far reaching and profound.

He was not great because he didn’t show concern for others, leadership, or intelligence. Alexander the Great was not the best because of his mass amounts of murder, not much care for his soldiers, and his poor ability to lead. The first reason Alexander the Great is not amazing because of the mass amount of murder he committed. One example is during the battle at Tyre, once Alexander’s army broke into the city they went on a ferocious killing spree (Doc C). Alexander had ordered anyone that was not inside the temple to be slain and he killed seven thousand Tyrians.
Harriet tubman played a very important role in slavery. She had a major role by helping free slaves she was the conductor of the underground railroad which was used to help free slaves she was also very caring by helping create fundraisers for slaves without shelter or food. Born a slave in Dorchester County, Maryland, Harriet Tubman was beaten and whipped by most of her masters as a child. One time she suffered a traumatic head wound when a slave owner threw a heavy metal weight that was supposed to hit another slave but hit her instead.
What is selflessness? The definition- Selfless is the opposite of selfish. If you're selfless, you think less about yourself, and more about others — you're generous and kind. So many amazing characters and people are selfless. Without even knowing it, anyone no matter how big or small the act can make a difference in a person’s life for the better.
In conclusion, it is evident that Alexander is anything but “the Great” because he is selfish, he is ruthless, and he has no respect for other cultures. Alexander killed over a million people, and many into slavery. He destroyed countless buildings of cultural significance, and he did great damage to the various cultures he conquered. Some might say Alexander was great because he expanded Greece or because he was influential, but evidence shows him to be anything
Alexander the Great, although a great leader, was selfish, power hungry, and heartless. He came to power when his father died. He expanded his empire through blood and warfare. Alexander the Great was a villain because he was reckless and he left his kingdom without a ruler.
