Hoopla Cliques production of ‘Chores’ entertained and influenced young audiences as they followed the life of two teenage boys Patty and Jules. By Completing their chore of cleaning their room Patty and Jules could continue doing the things they love. By Successfully utilising conventions of clowning and manipulating tension the production was easily able to communicate the dramatic meaning, when hard work is achieved, you can have the fun you dreamt of.

Tension of relationship was manipulated excellently in the production when the boys heard their mother’s footstep coming towards there room. Facial expression as blank as ever came across the two boys. Right away a booming voice echoed through their bedroom. Both the Boys shaking out of their socks experienced sudden fear with expressionless faces and hunched body posture, when their mother was speaking to them. We soon learn the character’s relationship between their mother was strong showing the effectiveness that their mother had on them. Tension of mystery was developed between Patty and Jules when the boys rushed around trying to clean their room once again. With loud footsteps fast approaching their door, panic set in and the boys assumed the mother was coming to check that they were still cleaning their room. With the build-up of which parent was about to walk through their bedroom door, the audience become very interested and involved in what was about to happen. As the door opened it wasn’t their mother, but it was there father reminding them that if their room wasn’t clean they couldn’t go outside to ride their bikes. This helped link the dramatic meaning as it showed the boys were still distracted unable to show that when hard work is achieved, you can have the fun you dreamt of.

The suspense in a story (or movie) plays a big hand within the story, but what causes the suspense? “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Monkeys Paw” will be my two examples as to what causes suspense and what effect it has on the story. These two stories will show you how a cause can affect the mood in a story while reading it. The cause-and-effect in “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Monkeys Paw” cause suspense.
Can you imagine life living with a single parent? In the stories “Confetti Girl” and “Tortilla Sun, “ show how your parents can possibly act and treat you when they are single. In the experts from Confetti Girl and Tortilla Sun tension is caused by the different point of view between the parents and children. First of all, in “Confetti Girl,” the girl only lives with her dad. Even though the girl and the father do not get along, they try to be kind to each as much as they can.
Each parent’s shortcomings then gets projected and magnified through the sons. The movie is about conflicts; between the couple, the child and the parent, the intellectual and philistine, identity one manufactures and one’s true self. The parents are so preoccupied with their problems that the children are left lost. It is interesting how they take their children and pit them against one another many times without realization. Bernard Berkman is a novelist whose career has gone into a slow decline and is now reduced to teaching.
The film is about socialization for boys, and the movie is in arrangement with deeply reasoning and persuasiveness. It does also a good job of capturing when the problems are not in the rails. For example: the professional noted that a little boy is so excited to make friend with other people around while a sixth-grade boy is gradually stop talking, participation, and become quiet. The main problem of the movie is analyzed through the aspects of experts’ future discussions which are not really clear about how masculinity over to the race and the class.
The dramaturgy (the study of dramatic composition of the play) is unique, in that Washburn takes an innovative approach to writing this play by attending a real-life tech rehearsal, transcribing the dialogue that occurs in the room between actors, technicians, directors, producers, etc., condenses the transcription and uses the condensed version in her piece 10 out of 12. The play intertwines dialogue between various departments of theatre (actors, directors and technicians) and various mediums of sound (use of taped dialogue, live dialogue and headset dialogue) thus creating an experience that uses all the senses. Washburn’s realistic style of script shows her focus on the view that theatre is not meant to be watched but rather heard or experiences, her play is an experience so realistic that it makes the audience question whether it is reality or fiction. This boy, paralleling the boy in “From Childhood,” is being smothered so much so that it is impacting his life negatively. Though some might argue that his attention induced embarrassment is typical of a growing child, context clues point to his mother’s overbearing nature as the direct culprit of his discomfort. The relationship between the parties of both “From Childhood” and “Mother and Son” are uncanny. But even so, the way in which the mother in “Mother and Son” acts overbearingly differs to that of the overbearing actions of the mother in “From Childhood,” thus giving this maternal relation its own place on the wide-ranged
The productions of this play were successful through stage design, lighting crewing, and acting. Those three aspects made the quality of the play stand out to me, as an audience member. The production of the set design of the play was a good effort. The set design for the play staging aims for the sweet spot between feeding adult nostalgia and satisfying a new generation of children.
Although his writing can be engaged to an audience who reads the situation the boy is encountering with his neighbors ,but to analyze themselves instead of another person. Therefore the intended purpose of this writing is to not analyze or criticize how a person live, but to analyze themselves , as they could be living their life differently such as being greedy. ”You should look at yourself. Although it is not stated clearly, the texts have many evidences that point towards their fate. Moreover, with the change from a third-person narration to a bystander-style narration, it further highlights the inescapability of their situation and hence, amplifies the tragedy and arouses the reader’s pity for the characters. A powerful use of an “open ending,” to convey authorial intention is demonstrated through ‘Girl Talking’. Here, the ending is not victorious, but illustrates how in this patriarchal society men still hold the power. Therefore, horror will remain hidden under a bed of lies; little girls will never understand the true nature of men. Moreover, the tragic irony of the ending gives the impression that rape and abuse is still a rising issue and all the girls can do is guard their hearts.
