In this novel, there is a cold hearted man named scrooge that hates anything to do with happiness in his life. He runs a shop but his partner dies, but comes back to tell him to change his ways, and to do so three spirits of past, present, and future would go to his house and show him that change is good, and will help improve his life style. In the book “A christmas Carol”, Charles Dickens shows that change is possible for anyone through Scrooge’s transformation due to his interactions with the Spirits.

One of the places the spirit brought Scrooge was Bad cratchit's house. When they arrived they saw poor tiny Tim, Bobs son, so brittle and frail and looked like he couldn't live much longer.“Spirit,” said Scrooge, with an interest he had never felt before,”tell me if Tiny Tim will live.” “I see a vacant seat,” replied the Ghost, “in the poor chimney-corner, and a crutch without an owner, carefully preserved. If these shadows remain unaltered by the Future, the child will die.” (Dickens 12) At this part of the book, Scrooge realizes that he is not the only person in the world, and that other people are in need. He has changed with the help of 3 wise spirits, and is immediately giving back to his town. Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all, and infinitely more; and to Tiny Tim, who did not die, he was a second father. He became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man, as the good old city knew, or any other good old city, town, or borough, in the good old world.” This quote is very important because it shows scrooge has changed his life around completely. In stave 1 Scrooge rejected the poorly men for donations and after he did that he felt good about it.
His attitude made a whole turnaround in how he was when he was younger compared to him at the start of “ A Christmas Carol '' and in the end too. We all know that Christmas is a time for giving and being kind to one another, and it's generally a joyful occasion, but not for Scrooge. He is not only unkind to his employees, but
After the Ghosts of Past, Present and Future visited, it is evident that their teachings educated Scrooge, like a hammer recreating a crocked sword on an anvil. The novel described the ghosts thoroughly, using words to visualize and help us fantasize what the spirits are and how they change Scrooge. For example The Ghost of Past took advantage of Scrooge's remorse, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come used Scrooge's fear. And it is this process that helped us fully understand why did Scrooge become a helpful angel after his visits. For example during the last ghost's visit, the women and men's thievery disgusted Scrooge and he worried about who the rich man was, and the ghost wasn't depicted as a evil fellow but as a helpful teacher.
In Charles Dickens' famous novel, A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who help him realize that he is not the man he should be. The following evening ,Scrooge was haunted by Marley's ghost, which alert Scrooge that the dead who had horrible lives are called to explore places and not be at peace.

Which all the family re-echoed.”(70) This scene touched Scrooge sparking an interest in the family’s well-being, especially their young, ill son Tiny Tim. Once again, Scrooge’s original way of thinking was disproved and rather than pitying the poor family he seemed envious, for they had a close, loving relationship with one another and he had just realized that the relationship they shared was something he wanted, as he had just realized it was his business to achieve just

This shows that Scrooge is being selfish and Scrooge doesn't care about nobody but himself. Also on page 10 the text states “ If they would rather die …… that had do it”. This shows that Scrooge really don't
At the beginning of A Christmas Carol,Scrooge is mean, selfish, and greedy. He is mean, because on pg.9, he never donates to the poor, and he always yells at little kids. (Dickens 12). Scrooge is already starting to prove that he is changing when he says this quote. Scrooge is finally starting to feel empathy towards others. And for once, he is seeing others as individuals who have a purpose in this world. Scrooge’s change is already starting to progress as he starts to feel compassion towards others.
All this makes for an awfully tragic tale, but everyone knows how this story ends. After Scrooge is visited by three ghosts his point of view is changed and he becomes a better man. He starts to look for the good in things, rather than the bad. In this story we see an example that it's never too late to change for the better.
