I. Introduction
a. How many of you have heard of Albert Einstein?
i. Albert Einstein is a German born scientists ii. Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879
b. Who was Albert Einstein/Achievements to the scientific world?
i. Are you familiar with his contributions do science?
1. developed the theory of relativity, he was a mathematician and he’s greater known in theoretical physics.
2. One of the two pillars of modern physics the “alongside quantum mechanics”.
3. He is mostly known for his mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc2, which has been recognized as "the world 's most famous equation". ii. Can you give me an example of one of his contributions do science?
1. In the year of 1905, Albert Einstein published a paper advancing the hypothesis that light energy is carried in discrete quantized packets to explain experimental data from the photoelectric effect. This model added to the advancement of quantum mechanics.
c. Reason for listening: This topic is important because people often only think about Einstein’s theory of general relativity, but he offered so much more.
d. Credibility: For my informative speech, I have conducted extensive research on the scientific contributions of Albert Einstein.
e. Thesis Statement: People view Einstein work as just if he has only contributed a few things to sciences and physics, but he did a greater amount then the majority of people know. Preview of major points: In this speech, I will show you
Have you ever heard of Benjamin Banneker? That's what I thought. Benjamin was a African American, who of course started his life out as a slave. If it wasn’t for Benjamin our nation's capitol wouldn’t exist. In 1753 he invented the first striking clock.
There are similarities between Chris McCandless and Henry David Thoreau, but there is also many differences. Chris and David’s thoughts on the following ideas are just some of the many similarities they have: transcendentalism, materialism, individualism, and nature. One difference between McCandless and Thoreau is that Thoreau studied and enjoyed technology, while McCandless did not. The two characters may have extensive similarities, but their differences characterize their personalities.
He found the first “reliable figure” for π(pi) (Source A). In ancient Greece, the crude number system was very inefficient, and Archimedes made it easier to understand and count to higher numbers (Source B). Finally, he used the first known form of calculus while studying curved surfaces under Euclid, not to be later worked on for 2,000 years by Isaac Newton (Source A).
Although most of his life was spent as a professor, Einstein solved many problems and came up with many theories during his free time. In the year 1921, Einstein got a Nobel Prize in physics. Albert Einstein deserves to be a Fighter because of his great contributions to physics. Albert Einstein was born in Germany, on the fourteenth of March in the year 1879. He began schooling at Lutipold Gymnasium, but later continued
He argued that science is essential to our understanding of the world and plays a crucial role in shaping our society. He stressed that science should be a public trust and that it is the responsibility of scientists to use their knowledge for the benefit of humanity. He supported his argument with a variety of examples, including the role of science in creating new technologies and in solving important social problems. He also spoke about the importance of international cooperation and the role of scientists in working together to create a better
Benjamin Banneker was an important mathematician who was also African American. Banneker was born on November 9, 1731 in Ellicott’s Mills, Maryland. He always had an interest in mathematics while his grandmother, a freed slave, taught him. His grandmother was not his only source of learning, though, for he also attended a Quaker school until the 8th grade (Benjamin Banneker (1731-1806), n.d., p. xx).
In 1679, Newton 's mother died which caused him to become extremely isolated for six months; he used this time to study gravity. Although Newton is best known for his work on gravity he also had many physical inventions. He is also known for the invention of calculus as well as another mathematician who they say invented it at the same time. Later on, he then published a book titled Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica which is considered to be one of the most influential books in the history of science today. Newton was elected president of Royal Society after the death of Robert Hookes in 170 3.
The ethos of Einstein’s letter comes from the positive reputation he created among the scientific community by establishing the theory of relativity and winning the Nobel Peace Prize in Physics in 1921. These accomplishments allow Einstein to have a positive ethos, which makes his writing appear trustworthy to many people. Additionally, Einstein’s writing style contributes to his ethos, something that can be observed in the line, “However, it must be admitted that our actual knowledge of these laws is only imperfect and fragmentary, so that, actually, the belief in the existence of basic all-embracing laws in Nature also rests on a sort of faith” (Einstein 10). Within this sentence, Einstein demonstrates a scholarly understanding of both the English language and his subject, a factor that plays an important role in his reputation when one considers that Einstein would likely not be given so much respect if he often wrote poorly or spread false information. He uses pathos by writing to Wright in an incredibly polite manner, which is apparent in his send-off of, “I hope this answers your question.
In addition, some of Einstein’s discoveries, would go on to make the atomic bomb possible. Possibly one of the most famous equations ever, he created E =mc2. Einstein transformed the laws of time, space, and gravity (Encyclopedia of Scientists). He was the first person to abandon Newton’s light
Hitler was born in a small village by the name of Branau am Inn, Austria, on April 20, 1889. When young Adolf was only three years old, his family moved to Germany, later on his brother died letting Hitler become farther and farther away from his family. One of Hitlers favorite things to do as a child was create art and one day become and artist. But Hitlers dad did not approve of Hitlers hobby. Hitlers father had preferred him to get into business.
Many of you are taught all about the Founding Fathers and how America got it’s Independence. I’m positive you’ve all heard about the famous Founding Father, Benjamin Franklin, and about all his contributions to history. He has contributed to the draft of the Declaration of Independence, but that wasn’t the only important contribution he made. He bought a famous paper, the Pennsylvania Gazette, proved the electrical nature of lighting with a kite, and many other things were done by Benjamin. You were probably not told too much about Franklin’s other accomplishments.
In 1935 Einstein and Rosen used the theory of General Relativity to try to prove the existence of wormholes. The theory of a shortcut in space-time. Wormholes are allowed to exist because of the theory of General Relativity. We have no evidence of them actually being real but there are many theories.
Albert Einstein by Karin Ireland tells the story of Albert Einstein’s life. Albert Einstein was an incredibly smart scientist who was born in Germany. He made many observations including finding a flaw in one of Isaac Newton’s laws, a law about gravity pulling on things without mass. After many years of hard work and negativity directed at him, he finally became successful and famous for all his findings and intelligence. Albert Einstein was a very successful man for being inquisitive, intelligent, and devoted.
