Introduction
Charles Darrow, the man credited for inventing Monopoly, was actually not the true inventor of the board game; The real inventor, was actually a lady named Lizzie Magie, who never received much credit for inventing it first. In the time period, women were thought to be stupid housewives and were incapable of anything. No one would have thought a woman could have invented something. The board game Monopoly has an interesting history, because the true inventor is actually Lizzie Magie, a woman, and because of the challenges the inventors had gone through, and because of the new changes to the board game.

In 1893, Magie, a stenographer and typist, had invented the board game the Landlord 's Game. The Landlord 's game, is a square board with nine rectangular spaces on each side, set between corners labeled"Go to Jail" and "Public Park". Magie also performed in plays,and wrote poetry and stories (Pilon, n.d). The Landlord’s game even looks a lot like the game Monopoly, and is played with the same intention, on having the most money at the end. Magie later said to reporters in 1906, "In a short time, I hope a very short time, men and women will discover that they are poor because Carnegie and Rockefeller, maybe, have more than they know what to do with. In the game, there were two rules called, "monopolist" and "anti-monopolist" (Pilon, n.d.). Lizzie was a very kind woman, whose only intention, was to teach and help people out of debt. The African American inventor I decided to do a report on is Lloyd Hall. He was not only a black inventor but he also a chemist. Lloyd Hall received his Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in 1914, a Master of Science from Northwestern in 1916, and a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) from Virginia State College in 1944. He also served as chief chemist for John Morrel and Company of Ottuma, Illinois (1919-1921) and became President of the Chemical Products Corporation, Chicago from 1921 to 1924.
Back in 1984, GameStop was not initially a video game retailer. The original name was called Babbage Inc. from Dallas, Texas. With the rise of video games becoming a popular past time hobby for Americans, the company grew financially well. The name GameStop did not appear until 1996, where they expanded across the United States and even have a few stores in Buffalo, New York.

His mother Ellen Sophia (Cornwell) Camp and Everett Lee Camp raised Walter well growing up. Walter was the only child growing up and was given a lot of attention. Stickball games were played for many different purposes. They were often used to resolve conflicts between tribes, and to train young tribal warriors for battle. During the Progressive Era there were multiple of changes occurring that people became overwhelmed. New resources in the oil market, industrialization, fights for equality. There were many factory jobs, however, no one to stand up for the workers. So of course people will turn to their government for help, the power house of the country. However, even the government was picky in what they helped with.

Monopoly is a game that certainly requires your brain and your intelligence to succeed and enjoy it completely.
