Any and every relationship is built off of a few key elements, loyalty, responsibility, hard work, but most importantly trust. Trust shows the way to stay true and honest with others. With the element of trust, everyone can take a step forward in any position within a relationship. Trust is a key importance in sports, games, and any other relationship with another person. With the input of trust, other contributing factors can be built off of it to build a stronger relationship. Trust is a key component in any sport; for example, in football, the quarterback has to trust his lineman, his receivers, and his running back, that they will help him to not get hit and to help him win them the game. Trust is also a major key in relationships with friends and with a significant other. In a relationship, one person must trust the other because they could be put in a situation where they need to rely on one another. If there is no trust in a relationship, it can easily be taken advantage of or misinterpreted. As easily as a relationship can be built on trust, it can be torn down by a lack of it. I have seen relationships of some people around me fall because of a misunderstanding in trust. Trust is important in a relationship between a parent and child, because if the child cannot trust the parent, the child grows up with no understanding of trust. If a child needs to talk with a parent about something private with whom are they supposed to talk? Or what if a child needs to talk with a parent about puberty problem? In the book, we see an example of a child who doesnt trust her father because she found out that his father have been lying to her. Some children trust more in the mother than father because a mother is more kind and reasonable, also because the mother will know more about the need of a child.
Trust is a feeling or emotion that comes to a person over time. It can be a privilege that can be earned through actions. In one such book, called Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes trust occurs in parts of the story. But there is also abuse and betrayal. While reading this novel it gave me a point of view on the pain most of the characters were experiencing.

If you do not have trust in your men, then in return they will not trust you. An example of Odysseus not putting his trust in his men is when he does not reveal the contents of his mysterious bag because he fears they will open it, but this just makes his men want to open the bag even more. When they do open the bag it releases winds they tear the sails and sends the ship across the sea. If Odysseus told them what was in it they would not want to open the bag and thus get them back to Ithaka. The lack of trust between Odysseus and his men resulted in the voyage lasting even longer and none of his men returning home.
