Jackie Robinson Accomplishments

Jackie Robinson is one of the most important people in the sports world that we have had the pleasure of seeing in the last century. He put his life on the line to do what he loved. No matter the color of his skin he wanted equality for all no matter the color of your skin.The commitment that Jackie Robinson gave to be the first African American in the Major League paved the way for other people just like him to be just as successful as him.

Chawick Bosman played Jackie in the 2013 movie “42”. For example the author writes “ The film, which features a relatively unknown Chadwick Boseman as Jackie and a relatively known guy named Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey (the force behind baseball's integration), debuted its trailers on the Facebook page” (King). They made a film showing how Jackie Robinson was living life right before and during the times he was playing baseball in the major leagues. Chadwick Bosman was the star of the film and it was to honor Jackie in his amazing ways. In addition, they also made a tribute to Robinson for example the author wrote “ There's a nice tribute to Robinson at the National Baseball Hall of Fame's website, including the text of his induction-day speech, some great historical photos, and even some audio archives” (King). They made a tribute showing how thankful we are to have witnessed his presents and so glad that he went through what he did to show that anything and everything is possible. They also showed him off with historical photos of him so we can always have a memory of him even though he is no longer with us.
