The pitcher-catcher relationship is arguably the strongest bond between two people and is unquestionably the strongest relationship in collegiate athletics. The pitchers and catcher of the Elon baseball team exemplify the importance of a tight-knit bond both on and off the field. Community, accountability, and trust are the driving factors behind a successful athlete relationship.

In this quote it is showing that they have gotten closer because Maureen called him a friend and she also teaches him how to write a haiku. The main plot line of Carry the Rock revolves around Little Rock Central High’s football team in the 2007 season. Coached by Bernie Cox, the team is undoubtedly having some unusual difficulties in many areas; nevertheless, I predict that they will not only make it to state, but also at the very least the semifinals. Conversely, there are many events in the story that contradict my opinion. For example, Cox and the rest of the coaching staff note that this team is somewhat divided. Cox recalls that in 2004, the football team’s best season since the turn of the century, all of the players were really good friends; they went to each other’s houses on the weekends and regularly talked and joked around in practice.

The Stranger by Albert Camus follows the daily life of Meursault, a French-Algerian that embodies Camus’ philosophical views of absurdum. Meursault’s life is a simple one; at first glance, he is like any other working, middle class man. However, through the first person narration, we gain insight into his unconventional thought process. He does not place value on anything, including, possessions, love and ambition. Nevertheless, he is content with his life.
He sought the healthiest and purest women, who became his concubines, and called them "The Five Wives". He stored them inside a giant bank vault like he would for his jewels or a government-issued savings bond. He dehumanizes other women by milking them like cows to provide “mother’s milk” for himself and the “deserving ones”. The fact Joe has five wives underscores his role as Father-In-Chief, speaking to his potency as a male, while diminishing the value
