In the play “H3amlet”(1603), by William Shakespeare, the concept of betrayal is that of obvious and is something that happens everywhere and can happen to anyone including the royal family of Denmark. In order to show us, his thoughts on human nature, Shakespeare uses the central issues in the play is that of betrayal of that of Claudius towards hamlet the king and his nephew the rightful king of Denmark as an example to show us a lesson about humans. Betrayal is something that is in human nature, people have betraying each other for as long as human have walked this earth. As Well as even before they walked the earth, compare the story of Adam and Eve they were told not to eat from the tree of knowledge no matter what. God stated to them “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”(Genesis 2.16-17).
