Dwight David Eisenhower was born in October 14, 1890 in Texas. He got commissioned in 1915 as a second lieutenant of US Army. Eisenhower was promoted to the rank of permanent lieutenant Colonel in 1936. On October 3 1941 he was promoted to Brigadier General. In 1942 he was appointed supreme commander allied force of the North Africa Theatre of operations. Eisenhower was promoted to the rank General of the Army in December 1944. He was an operational command of NATO force in Europe. 28. General Dwight Eisenhower was a matured and an old man but achieved success in military strategic goals in order to gain winning situation at most of his fully committed carrier as a great gentlemen and leader.When General Eisenhower was appointed as a Supreme Allied Commander for the planned Normandy Landings he suggested that Alexander as a ground forces commander. Field Marshal Harold Alexander was the one of the greatBritish military leader who served in both great wars. During world war one he was a platoon commander in France. He commanded British Expeditionary Force during world war one in the France. He took part major role during Burma campaign. In august 1942 BritishPrime MinisterChurchill appointed Alexander as a commander chief of the British forces in NorthAfrica. DuringSicily and Italy campaign he commanded allied forces in the second battle of ElAlamein, he worked with Field Marshal Montgomery as a commander of the Montgomery’s eighth army. 40. After his successful career the military he was appointed as a governor general of Canada from 1946 to 1952 and he was a very popular governor general among the Canadianswho appreciate his military and communication skills.
