MQS61QJ Project 6 1. A convex n-gon has 5 times as many diagonals as sides. Fully explain how to find the value of n. In order to find the value of n, I first found the number of diagonals in a convex n-gon by applying the formula (n(n-3))/2 in which n stands for the number of sides. In a convex polygon, the number of diagonals form from a single vertex is 3 less than the number of sides, which is represented as n-3. Moreover, since there are n sides, it would give n(n - 3) diagonals. However, each diagonal has 2 ends, in other words connecting from two vertices. As a result, each diagonal would be counted twice, thus n(n - 3) must be divided by 2. Since the convex n-gon has 5 times as many diagonals as sides, the formula can be equal to 5n. Therefore the new equation would be (n(n-3))/2=5n, and by multiplying both sides by 2, the equation would become n(n-3)=10n. Then, divide both sides …show more content…
Square SGRE has perimeter 24. Points H and N lie on SE and SG respectively, such that SH = SN. Segment XA is the reflection of HN in EG. The exact value of the perimeter of HEXAGN can be expressed as a – b*sqrt(c) where a, b, and c are positive integers. Find the values of a, b, and c. In order to find the length of each side of square SGRE, I divided the perimeter 24 by 4 because a square always has 4 sides. As a result, the length of each side of square SGRE is 6. Additionally, since SH = SN, I let the length of both segments be represented as the variable x. Not only that, the lengths of ¯AR and ¯XR also be represented as x because points X and A are the reflected points of points H and N in ¯EG respectively. Therefore, the lengths¯( HE), ¯EX, ¯AG, and ¯GN must be 6 – x. The exact value of the perimeter of HEXAGN can be expressed as a - b√c, thus I added all the sides of HEXAGN in terms of x. This was because the lengths of ¯AR, ¯XR, ¯SH, and ¯SN were still unknown, but it must be true that x stand for a positive integers due to a, b, and c being positive
On the other hand, the trapezoid allows three tiles to fill, as one side of triangle is missing. I carefully studied the square table and looked at the proportion of the size of triangle, I was confident to determine the number of tiles were correct. Thus, the mathematics I used to solve this question was Measurement and Geometry which involves in using the relationship
Valley Forge is 18 miles northwest of Philadelphia, where George Washington built his winter camp. It contained very little food and had poor weather conditions. It was too small to call a village. It only contained few field stone houses and a mill for forging iron. Due to the very little food and poor weather conditions, I would quit Valley Forge.
1. Offer your opinion as to the two critical infrastructure sectors you feel are currently most at risk. Provide reasoning as to why you hold this position and what role the private sector can play in decreasing this risk. In studying critical infrastructure previously, I maintain my belief that the most at risk sector remains food and agriculture.
Valley Forge was a Patriot camp during the American Revolution. It was used by General George Washington and soldiers. The campsite was a harsh place and the winter made nearly impossible to live. For, us , soldiers it was a living hell. The Patriots reached Valley Forge in December 1777 ( Doc A ).
MIBC 104 – Political Science Unit 4 Assignment Research parties in the United States and share information from at least three parties. To my surprise, there are so many choices from which to pick. There are major and minor political parties, as well as regional political parties, historical parties, non- electoral organizations, and who knows how many more. With so many to choose from, most of which I have never heard of, I will choose three that sound remotely interesting.
Mansa Musa set off on his hajj and traveled thousands of miles through deserts, and strange cities to get to Mecca. Although this was a very religious journey, was this pilgrimage really all for religious purposes? Religion may have been a large motivating factor for this trip, but Mansa Musa did not journey on his hajj just for religious purposes. There were many other motivating factors for why Mansa Musa took this journey. Some motives were to set up better trade for the future, and gain popularity for his kingdom Mali and himself.
There are a lot of turning point that led to the revolutionary war. Every act that the king signed and put intoto effect plus the actions of the red coats fueled the colonies motivation to start a revolution . The four major reasons were the stamp act, Tea act ,common sense by Thomas paine, declaration of independence The stamp act 1765 was the first direct tax put on the British colonies in North America (DOC.A). The colonies were not fond of the stamp act they had no say in what the tax should be on nor what it should be spent on.
When I had first approached this project, my first task was to define each of the words for more clarity as to what they meant and how they related to each other. After defining them, I decided to categorize every word plus an additional word in order to have 4 groups that all contained 5 words each. I admit that I am more of a categorical person, and group and placing things together has always worked out better for me. This part was based on my opinion as I group together words with similar themes or meanings or by how easy they could connect to each other. Simultaneously, while categorizing the words together, I was planning out how to make my actual map look presentable.
Each table is 48 feet long and they connect at three corners forming an open triangle, a symbol of equality. Chicago created this work out of
Throughout the 1800’s indigo was extremely popular, everyone wanted to have the beautifully dyed clothing it produced. Most of the indigo that had been produced came from India and West Africa. The consumer base was in Europe and the UK. It took many people to produce the indigo. I believe that the most positive impact was on those who moved it.
Visualize you have to figure out how to stop world hunger. You decide to kill a bunch of people who suffer from world hunger every day. In the end world hunger is gone and no longer a problem in the United States. Did the actions you did to reach your goal justify. Ashoka had to ask himself this question too.
1) Describe at least three special education services for students with impairments in sight and hearing Three special education services for students with impairments in sight and hearing are, (a) MARESA, (b) Exeter Township School District and (c) Chester County Intermediate Unit. (a) MARESA hearing and vision consultants’ work as a team with school staff to give students that are living with hearing and visual impairments the best access to tools and training so that they can successfully achieve their required educational goals. The Consultants for the hearing impaired are basically the ones that provides direct services for hearing impaired students. They are very supportive of special education or general education teachers. They also provides consultation to educational personnel on behalf of the students that are living with hearing impaired.
After leaving his position as Attorney General, Wirt settled in Baltimore, Maryland. He became a candidate for President in 1832, nominated by the Anti-Masonic party. This party held the first ever national nominating convention in the U.S history on September 11, 1830 in Philadelphia establishing the tradition. The date was chosen to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Morgan Affair. However, no candidate was agreed upon.
Some connection between triangles and quadrilaterals are they can both have a right,obtuse,and/or acute angle. They both come in different sizes. They can both make a quadrilaterals. Those are some things that triangles and quadrilaterals. Understanding kinetic and potential energy and how they transform from one to another important in our world because if you want to be a scientist you need to know this.
The 45-45-90 states that the ratio of the sides are 1;1;√2. A right Acute is when a^2 +b^2 is greater that c^2. A right obtuse is when a^2=b^2 is less than c^2. A right right is when a^2+b^2 is equal to c^2. The last theorem is CPCTC.
