Our First, Last and Only win of the season I am a 14 year old boy named Dustin. This is going to be about My most recent baseball season and all the events that happened during that time. Let’s get started. There was no talk at the lunch table that didn’t have to do with baseball ever since the placement meeting that all of the White bear 14-15 year old single a baseball players went to. It was for the coaches to get an Idea of how good you are to try to split the teams up evenly. Me, Josh, Carter and Andrew all knew we were all on the same team and we couldn’t wait for our first practice. When our first practice finally came we didn’t really play baseball we just got to know the people we didn’t know and found out what position everyone wanted to be. I had told her pitcher. It wasn’t until our first practice came that we actually started playing baseball. We were doing pop flies, infield and hitting practice. I was practicing hitting when coach came over and got me and raitis, one of the other people that had said they wanted to pitch. She took us to the mound and andy (andrew) was sitting behind home plate with the catchers gear on. …show more content…
Then he threw a pitch that I hadn’t seen in person before, he threw a curve. This changed everything he knew more pitches than I did which made him more of a competition. Then it was my turn and when I threw that first pitch It was a 50 mph fastball right down the middle of the plate. The look on her face was surprising, almost as if she had expected me to be bad. All of my next handful of pitches were exactly the same. At the end of practice she told me that I would be the starting pitcher and raitis will be my relief pitcher, He almost looked
The rivalry Jack was on his way to the first baseball practice of the season. Everybody knew that Jack was the best baseball player in the small town of Bosville, but over the summer a new baseball player moved into town, named Joe. Joe was supposed to be better than Jack. Joe was only 15 and he already had college scouts looking at him and trying to get him to play for the team they were scouting for. For the first time in Jack’s baseball career he is going to have to play good to keep his position at shortstop.
“Darn” I said to myself as I slowly jogged out to my spot in left field, swatting gnats and mosquitoes as I went. “If only he’d give me a chance!” I thought, “I know I can play catcher at the same level as anyone out here!” But there I was, warming up in the outfield with the center-fielder and hoping, just hoping, I’d get some action. “At least it’s a really nice evening for a game!”
It is a common thing for a normal person to try and impress someone that they feel is “better” than themselves. People all run into situations where they face someone else who is more popular, rich, or better looking than themselves. In the short story “A&P,” a teenage boy names Sammy is gawking over a girl that is in the store he works in. Readers see how observant Sammy is, and also how immature he can be during situations. I have also made my own bad decisions.
so I started practicing and there it was my first real baseball game in select baseball. Was i nervous yes but my
I glanced to see Hez not catching the ball and letting it fall down the hill. I slow down looking at Zach and his reaction to me crossing third base running to home. At the same time, Hez gets the ball back from the hill and passes to Zach for him to try to get me. Hez threw the ball just a bit higher than the height Zach can jump to get the ball and throw it at me. I make it to home base and was cheered by my team.
This is the story of when I tried baseball and how it was. It was one summer morning and my dad was up early for something and I did not know why and I heard a crack and I walked in the living room and nothing was wrong
After that, all the parents said “great job rebels.” This is one of my best experiences in baseball I have had. I got to spend time with my family and also my friends. We had a lot of fun while doing what we love. On the way back we got a text from our coach and he said,”that there will be a party at his house.”
Blood, Sweat, and Tears The crowd is screaming, two teams chanting, my heart is beating so fast as I squat behind home plate, and then I hear the umpire yell, “Play ball!” from behind me. Lone Grove has, once again, made it to the Class 4A Fastpitch Regional Tournament.
At first, it saw little action. Then, some local teenagers formed a makeshift baseball team, and after that, the idea caught on. When I was eight, I got interested in baseball from a book I received as a birthday present. With a few pennies I earned cutting grass and
Towards the end of the school year after my success on the baseball field lead to my summer coach asking me to play for his summer team again, I thought to myself, maybe I’ll prove to him I am good enough to play in Florida and surpass his expectations. So the summer starts the first game I sit, the next game I sit, then finally the last game of the tournament I sit. At this point I asked him, “why did I not get a chance to pitch?” he said, well there are too many pitchers to get you in this tournament. I said okay thinking nothing of it.
If you like baseball you are going to love this story about my fun state baseball tournament! We had 11 players, three coaches, and a lot of fans and parents. You will hear about how we did, what I did, and what happened. Now you will read about my team and I did, and everything else that happened. We drove to Des Moines Iowa on July 21.
Confidence shaken, our whole infield jogged out to the pitcher 's mound and told him “nothing hurt.” The next batter
So I decided to go to practice. Mr. Taylor made me work harder than the other girls. I had to practice serving more than the others. At
I walk into Neil Armstrong Middle School 's gym, nervous as can be, not ready for tryouts. We started doing layup drills, I missed so many compared to the other girls. After a while we started scrimmaging which I must have done good because I made the B team. Days after I found out what team I was on we had our first practice. Our first practice was mostly getting to know each other.
This summer I got the opportunity to play for the Columbus High School baseball team. I came into it being very nervous because none of the coaches had seen me play much before hand. The first practice went very well and I was looking very good. The next few practices went by and finally it was time to pick the teams freshman, sophomore, junior varsity, and varsity.
