To begin with, night terrors in children may occur when there is some conflict or tension in their household. The Army’s Special Operations Aviation Regiment’s or SOAR, known as Night Stalkers, “a unit that is even more covert than the SEAL teams. The Night Stalkers have been practicing and perfecting nighttime air assault missions for many years.” SOAR has the main mission of providing quick and reliable aviation support to all SOF units. SOAR is headquartered at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and is made of four different battalions. 1st and 2nd Battalions are based out of Fort Campbell.
To some, a few of these effects may seem as exaggeration however these are extremely serious problems. Nightmares may cause one to wake up in a panic and sweaty, breathing deep. Sleep problems such as night terror, can cause one to stay awake due to the fear of someone or something deadly being near them. Maybe they visualize a demon or such standing in their room, much like a child being scared of monsters. However with this illness, one can visually see the monster.

A major part of the brain activity that takes place during dreaming is temporarily paralyzing our muscles. When we enter REM sleep our brain sends a message to the spinal cord telling it to “turn off” our motor neurons. This happens so that we do not act out our dreams. Another job that the brain completes during the night is disposing of unimportant information. On the opposite side, the brain also remembers important information that we have learned.

They are usually accompanied by muscle spasms and twitches of the entire body. Although these dreams occur while we are falling asleep, they interpret a completely different meaning.
The word “nightmare” on the other hand comes from the Old English word “mare”. It is said to be a mythological demon or goblin who tortures other beings with horrifying dreams.
