The Nightingale Pledge is in itself a moral oath for nurses. It is by some standards considered outdated or perhaps old fashioned, but undeniably there are points that still ring true today in modern nursing. The specific point I would like to touch on is the last line of the pledge. "With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician in his work, and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care."
