Abstract --
In this voting system, the voter identity card is replaced by smart card in which all the detail of the person is updated.Only the specified person can poll using their smart card. Here the smart card reader reads the smart card and the details of that person is displayed, then it asks for verification which is irish recognition. If the irish pattern matches then the person can poll. The person is allowed to poll once using this smart card.Once we voted,if we use smart card again, the smart card reader will access the cards but it will give a beep sound which indicates that the person has already voted.

Widely used before the introduction of Electronic Voting System. Paper ballot system includes casting the vote using the paper and the stamp. Each voter uses one ballot, and ballots are not shared. In regular elections, a ballot may be a simple piece of paper on which each voter writes in the name of a candidate, but governmental elections uses pre-printed sheets to maintain the secrecy of the votes[5]. The voter casts his/her ballot in a box at the polling station.
.
Advantages of Paper Ballot Voting System:
The paper ballot system gives a simplest way to cast vote. Illiterate people can also cast their vote easily. No need to guide the individual. The system is very much affordable than the electronic system as the major requirements are only paper and a ballot box which are provided by the election commission
.
Disadvantages of Paper Ballot Voting System: This system is very much time consuming and slow.It was the major type of electoral fraud found in India. Once the voting schedule is over, the result of the election cannot be declared immediately. All the ballot boxes are collected at a specific location and then the counting of the votes is carried out which is very much time

Electronic Voting System:
An electronic voting system is a type of voting system which uses electronic ballot that would allow voters to broadcast their secret vote ballot to election officials over the internet[3]. With the prosperity of internet over the years, inventors start to make the use of electronic voting in order to make the voting process more convenient and to raise the participation of the civic[7]. From now on, engineers have repeatedly created new technology to improve the feasibility of electronic voting system[1].

This could be an opportunity for a case for fraud, since ID is not required or put in a data for this purpose. By the same token, disabled individual who are registered, should have a representative from the election committee to come their home, sign an affidavit and allow them to cast their vote at that time. Reason being anyone could pretend to be that individual. This should be an issue that concerns both parties. I am not quite sure of any other ways that fraud could be prevented.
The three forms are: Wasted Vote, Excess vote, and Stacked vote. Wasted vote is the opposition supporters spreading across many districts as a minority. Excess vote is when the opposition supporters concentrate into
With compulsory voting many countries become successful. Germany,Peru, Australia and many more countries have been required to vote since the late 1800’s to the late 1900’s (Doc A). In Brazil those who don 't vote have to pay a fine, causing many to not miss their voting slot time
There are a vast amount of negative effects that are caused by the political machine in both history and today's modern society. One problem that is present throught both history and now is corruption. As shown with Boss Tweed in the 1800s and most politcs today, politicians can use the political machine for their own financial wants and needs. As an example, Boss Tweed used the political machine to create fake leases and vouchers to increase his wealth, which, as a result, financially drained New York City. Another problem is that political machines will often be negative for canidates not involved in the machines.
Finally, the process is repeated until a candidate receives over half of the total votes (“Ranked Choice Voting/Instant
For many years, America’s voting system has been criticized, with the main point of interest being the Electoral College. Some say that the Electoral College is necessary to streamline and simplify the voting process, while others say that it is outdated and takes away power from American citizens. After investigating the subject, it is clear that the Electoral College should be abolished due to the three major defects its critics find in the system; its undemocratic nature, its tendency to give small states’ votes too much power, and its disastrous effects on third-party candidates. The first, and possibly largest, defect in the Electoral College is its undemocratic nature. A professor of political science once said that “the Electoral College violates political equality” (Edwards 453).
Voting allows you to choose who you, as an individual, believe who can provide for the country and treat the issues we face. Finally, voting a person into the most important role in the world ( the president of the United States) allows you to save the world. With a world so heavily militaries and military occupents all around the world, with allied countries and allied forces with the ability to end the world with atomic weaponry beyond what any of us can fathom, is all at the fingure tips of whomever is elected into office. Do your research, vote respoibly, your vote
Mandatory voting makes large numbers of people vote, which will make the country run more efficiently because the election was based on the hopes and aspiration of the people for the future leader. Voting should be made compulsory because its positive effects exceeds its negative
First, a current photo ID will be required to vote. This could be a driver 's license, US passport, military ID card, or any photo ID issued by a government agency. For anyone without an acceptable photo ID, free voter ID cards will be offered at local government offices like the DMV or a county office. To get a voter ID card, the applicant must bring their social security card to the office and fill out a voter ID application.
This unfamiliarity and thought of the process being confusing deters the younger people from registering to vote in the first place. By removing this process, voters can just show up to cast their votes and move on with their day without worrying about this potentially confusing process. These three methods combined could increase the voter turnout for each
The African American Civil Rights movement existed at large between the early fifties and the late sixties in a society that was constantly on the verge of social destruction. The black rights movement existed politically, socially, and economically everywhere in the United States. As time progressed the movement developed and saw many changes along with schisms separating activists and how they approached getting their rights. In the early fifties there was a large non-violent integration based movement spearheaded by figures such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks. However, as the time progressed, the movement started seeing a more aggressive leadership with figures such as Malcolm X, but eventually it turned into an extremist movement
Voter fraud is defined as a voter who imitates another voter and seeks to take that vote for that individual. However, some may argue that there haven’t been numerous real cases of voter fraud and used as a myth, but it is simple to commit voter fraud. A common form of voter fraud is selling votes; individuals may sell their votes as the voting doesn’t genuinely concern them. It is important to bring an ID when voting to confirm if you are the person who is going to vote. Many have argued that the past election could have been “rigged” but voter fraud is not considered rigging.
There is a strict and non-strict identification process. In the non-strict process the voter can vote by signing an affidavit of identity. Voters without id can vote but the officials will determine at the close of business if they are a registered voter (Underhill, 2017). The voter id laws effects members of our society that are considered less fortunate or the lower class of their rights.
Voting represents the collective choice, during the voting process, individuals' preferences are taken together, and eventually they aggregate their diverse opinion into a social choice. Although there are many alternative voting systems, they cannot always deliver in all situations. The reason is stated by Arrow, and it shows that it is impossible to find a perfect system. Therefore, it is important to weigh up the strength and weakness, then choose appropriate method among various alternative
Single Transferable Vote (STV) is developed by Thomas Hill in 1819 for the purpose of electing the Committee of the Birmingham (England) Society for Literary and Scientific Improvement. He was a mathematician and schoolmaster. The Single Transferable Vote (STV) is defined as a type of proportional representation that produces a proportional parliament with local representation and the direct election of individuals. Single transferable vote (STV) is the predominant form of proportional representative in countries with a heritage of English influence. STV is used for the election of the Dáil (Assembly) in Ireland, the Senate in Australia, the House of Representatives in Malta and local councils in Scotland.
