Paranormal Activity Sequel The first time I heard that there would be a sequel to Paranormal Activity I was psyched. The original was so unique and effective that I could only wonder what Oren Peli had in store for us next. Peli is the writer/director of the original and the producer of the sequel. Michael R. Perry wrote the screenplay and story this time around. Perry has a long resume of work that he has done on popular television series such as Law and Order: SVU. I assumed PA2 was also directed by Oren Peli given the style of film making, but I was surprised to learn that Tod “Kip” Williams took over. The Door in the Floor Williams directed The Door in the Floor, which won the National Board of Review Award for Excellence in Filmmaking. Williams did a wonderful job taking over Peli’s role as director, though you could notice Peli’s influence. Overall, the crew did a fabulous job capturing the essence of the original. Small Budget, Large Gross The original Paranormal Activity was made on a very small budget of $15,000 with actors Micah Sloat and Katy Featherstone making just few hundred dollars for their work. Paramount Pictures bought the rights to the sequels for a total of $300,000. They certainly knew what they were doing when they made this reasonably priced investment. The budget for …show more content…
There’s no way there couldn’t be the way they left us begging for more at the end of PA2. Drew McWeeny of HitFlix told the press, “‘Paranormal Activity 2’ is as stark, as bleak, and as skilled as any horror film I’ve seen this year, and suggests this is a series we’re going to be watching for a while”. Paramount Exec VP of Distribution Don Harris claims, “The company is certainly going to take a look at making a third but will be exceedingly careful in how to go about it”. Peli declines to comment on whether or not he has intentions of making a third Paranormal Activity, but then again he is not one to talk about his films until they are
1)In the Ghostbusters ESP study ,the aspect that was experimentally wrong is that the man was supposedly testing the effect of negative reinforcement on ESP ability ,and negative reinforcement occurs when a person do a behavior in order to avoid an unpleasant consequence .If the guy was the subject he received positive punishment instead ,the woman in this case don’t do anything to avoid that electric shocks ,she was just doing the same that the guy did trying to answer what figure was on the card ,but the experimenter were lying then both. It could be improving following scientific standards taking account of relevant evidence without disregard, and adulteration.2) My hypothesis in this case would be “applying electro shocks to the experimental

Back in 1985, 9/10 of the movies made in Hollywood were original. By 2005, however, 9/10 movies were unoriginal and based on something previously made. Basing movies off of other material isn’t a new idea though. Richard Connell’s short story “The Most Dangerous Game” was made into a movie in 1932.
“Maybe he wants to drink our blood,” screamed B Dawg. I watched Spooky Buddies with my sisters and my parents. I watched this movie last week on a Saturday. I watched this movie at my house on my tv on Netflix. I watched this movie because I thought since Halloween is almost here and Spooky Buddies is a Halloween movie I decided to watch it.

Witchcraft. The Epidemic In the summer 1692 the town of Salem, Massachusetts spiraled into a witchcraft epidemic, 19 people were hanged and 1 person was pressed to death. People started to get marks and rashes on their body and when a doctor couldn 't even explain it they started accusing people of witchcraft. Bridget Bishop was the first victim of hanging during the epidemic. Then after that it went downhill.
The Amityville Horror is one case that happened in 1975, it is still trying to be determined as a poltergeist haunting or
Dancing with the Ghosts The Ghost Dance is a familiar topic in the history of Native American culture as well as in the history of the United States. It brings forth images of people chanting, moving in a slow circle, perhaps dressed in clothing with fringe and feathers. It conjures remembrances of the Sioux Indians and the Wounded Knee Massacre, with pictures of Native Americans dying and being buried in mass graves by victorious looking soldiers. It appears to be only a small blip in history, just another instance of the mistreatment of the native people who inhabited this land first but fell victim to America’s Manifest Destiny, seemingly insignificant, a shadow, almost a ghost in the history books.
One of the many examples of how we are not being original, are reboots of old movies. An example of the many reboots that were made once again is Spider-Man since the classical one is just a guy named Peter Parker that gets bitten by a spider and then gets superpowers that lets him shoot webs and be physically stronger than an average human being. But films make reboots of the original Spider-Man because of how it already has a fan base and because of this they don’t have the problem of risking money if the movie fails to sell and they don’t make profit at all. Since the fans will go see it, the revenue of the movie will be able to pay off the film in the production stages of the movie and be able to have extra
The ghost boy affects Luke and his father’s relationship by embittering Luke and his father’s relationship. When Luke sees the Ghost Boy in the Klack Bros museum, he sees a Chinese spirit, a teenager the same age as him. He touches the Ghost Boy’s shoulder, and the Ghost Boy shows him the beginning of his death story as a laborer on the Transcontinental Railroad. Luke realizes the ghost is real, and knows that it has a sad story to it. He pulls back and realizes that the ghost is real, and the jar of ashes contains his remains.
Do you think Halloween should come twice a year. I think it should. You would get a lot of exercise. Also, you would be able to get two costumes a year. But the best one is when you are done with that Halloween you can look forward to the next one.
One of the most explicit movies shot by James Watkin is “The Woman In Black”. This horror movie tells the story of a young widowed laywer who travels to a remote village with his son where the ghost of a scorned woman is terrorizing the locals and takes revenge on little kids. Throughout the film, the plot develops around Arthur Kipps, Jennet Humfrye (The woman in black), Sam and Elizabeth Daily’s (The local landlords). A good horror flick needs good scares and panics, and The Woman in Black does a terrific job on that. James Watkins based the film on Susan Hills novel of the same name.
Gamers will no longer be forced to play the same genres repeatedly because they can now be put into a mental realm of their own where they are the persona battling for survival their own way. Being the one in the game knowing that you are being stalked by a creature, ghost, or even another human gives you the thrill that other genres cannot. Horror games are rare and not repetitive like other genres. Additionally, horror games are split up into two sub genres: Psychological horror and survival horror. The psychological horror relies on your bodies reactions to danger thus giving you chills from the beginning to the end of the game.
Name : Chhon Phalla Room : Nokor Bachay (301) Supernatural Beliefs Cross-culturally For as long time age’s, we have been fascinated with the idea of other worlds and other creatures that are somehow 'supernatural'. All around us is the physical world and the reality of that world is something we deal with on a daily basis. But since the dawn of man we have been telling stories of something else, something 'other', which might take the form of ghosts, of demons, of aliens or of elves.
