I was born in New Orleans, but raised in Brooklyn. For several reasons my parents decided to leave NOLA shorty after my birth. From then on, I was raised in New York state; more specifically Brooklyn. It wasn't until the age of sixteen that I finally returned to my home city. My parents had just divorced and for that reason, my mother no longer wished to stay in New York.
I grew up in a small Texan suburb called Keller. I have lived in this area since I was in the fifth grade and, even though I now attend college in Dallas, I still come back to visit often. My family has recently relocated our residence closer to the Fort Worth area, but Keller remains a five-minute drive away and I still consider myself a Keller resident. Growing up, I thought Keller was a small town with nothing to do. The closest movie theater was a 25-minute drive to Southlake, Texas, and there were not many restaurants or other recreational areas.
I started my life in Lino Lakes. A cute little suburban town, just north of the twin cities. The streets are lined with houses of varying sizes. My house fell in the middle, it fit my family perfectly. My house consisted of two floors, with 3 bedrooms.
My mom and her family came to the United States from Greece with nothing other than some ambition. Their family of five learned quickly they would have to work in order to provide for themselves. Once my mom and dad met, they decided to move to California. They settled in a small town, located in the Bay Area, named Pleasanton. My brother and I were born and raised here.
I have lived in Pensacola, Florida for my whole life. I have lived in the same house since I was six years old, and before that I lived in an apartment by my elementary school. I went to Jim Allen Elementary School where I spent kindergarten through fifth grade. I had to be homeschooled for half of my first-grade year, and half of my second-grade year because I was going through cancer treatments as a young girl. I then went to Ransom Middle School for sixth and eighth-grade because I had to be homeschooled again in seventh grade due to having a major surgery.
Once I was enrolled in the school system, it was well into the third
I have not been able to participate in athletics nearly as much as I would have liked. I started running track in the spring of my seventh grade year. I performed surprisingly well and decided to participate in cross country the next fall. I spent the summer training and preparing for the season, and it definitely showed. I ran in the varsity race for my first cross country meet ever.
The first eight years of my life, I spent in India where I was born. Growing up I was constantly reminded by my parents that I needed to make them proud by getting a good job and living a good lifestyle. They told me this because they did not want to see me live a hard life like they did. When I was nine years old, I moved from India to the United States of America. The reason why I moved to America was not because I was living a bad life in India, it was so that I could have a better education and more opportunities in life.
It was not easy only knowing one language and going to a school that couldn't understand me and I couldn't understand them. My mother is Hondurena and my father is Mexicano both different but want the same thing. I grew up in America with my mother always talking to me in spanish so I would learn how to read, write and speak it. It was my first language I didn't know english at all I would always talk in spanish at home. I may have been born here but I am very much closer to my hispanic roots more than I am American.
Everybody has a destiny, tired of your old destiny then write a new one. " This quote comes from Percy Jackson. He may believe in a destiny, but other people do not. I say you can make a new one, but only if you try!
I couldn’t be happier about moving to Oregon. I hate this smelly place we called home. Hi, I’m Billy and I’m 11 years old. I was born in Lawrence, Kansas, 1853.
I grew up in Wellston, Ohio and lived in the countryside about fifteen minutes from town. My house was a home to me and it wasn 't the greatest, but it was special to me. My big backyard consisted of many fruit trees and a grape vine, it was where I had bonfires with my family and friends, and it was where I ran free with my brother. I had a pond, “over the hill” as my brother and I would say, where we swam and fished in the summertime and sat on the deck feeding bread to the bluegill as we had conversations about life. Behind our pond was where thousands of trees stood tall and where we roamed every inch of the hidden land.
My name is Carl Sylvester and I grew up in Brooklyn,NY. It's very nice at time but it has its rough points. My area mostly consists of big trees corner stores and brownstone houses. Another addition to my area is that IS has a wide diversity of people which I loved because I got to eat a lot of food from different cultures growing
I was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. In my family I am the 7th of 10 children. Through the years I have been a nanny for four families.
