Last spring I went on a vacation of a lifetime. I went on a two month stay in alpine wyoming.
I flew out of grand rapids to denver colorado or as a joke we called it color a du.It was a eight hour flight to Idaho falls, Idaho. I love flying but I can 't stand long long flights. When i got out of the plane I saw that I was in a tiny airport that didn 't even have a ACT, which is an aircraft control tower. This tower controls all radio and all maintenance for the runway. When I got my bearings I went carrying my green rucksack and saw my mom and I went straight to her she was so excited to see me after four months. I went outside into the blazing heat of idaho smelling of corn and potatoes, nothing else. After going to the army supply store we headed back to wyoming as we saw a wild fire in the distance I wondered what started it.But i knew i would never find out so on our drive we also saw the world 's biggest potato (Not really it was a giant fake potato the size of a truck). Once we hit the pass into wyoming we were all silent with nothing to talk about.
But the view in the pass is insane it looked like everything was about to fall on me at any time.Which is also next to the snake river known for

We made it to alpine a tiny town that was full of very rich farm houses that had at least 40 horses each. These houses went for 800 thousand and more they had guest houses and decks that were bigger than my house.A few other towns we were close to where etna, freedom which had a gun range and store that 's it,and wilson.Theses houses have populations down to 82 people.Everything here was dry and dry and hot and dry it was so dry and dusty you could sit for a bit and your shirt would turn brown. When it was night time it got down to 30 degrees and sunrise was very very late so you always woke up in the dark.I went to jackson and bought quite a bit of stuff and my grandpa came out with my guitar. We stayed up all night playing around in our rv.I learned a lot in
I was riding my horse on our Ranch It was a beautiful day Birds were chirping Cows were mooing and the Nice cool breeze was blowing and everything was fine and My Dad and I were going to check the cows and check their waters and on the way I was riding and a Cotton Tail rabbit ran out of a bush and my horse got spooked and he started bucking and he bucked me off and I got right back on and started riding again. And when I got to where the cows were we have 50 and I only counted 45 and so I knew some were missing so I was Approaching the creek to see if they were down in the creek to see if they were down there and when I got down there I heard them bawling and so I rode up out of the creek and went to a different one we call Sourdough Creek
The towns are super small and there aren’t a lot either. The places don’t have air-conditioning or heaters. The setting was amazing. I could see it in my head when I was reading. There were dirt roads, dirt floors in houses and people outside burning up in the heat.
I grew up in a small town with a very old history. Every year in August, the Old Settlers Reunion parade began downtown and led out to a carnival on historic grounds. The public library usually held activities for the community and Friday night football was always a blast. My favorite place to eat was the Pizza Palace.
After we moved to Colorado I became a wild child some might say, and once I graduated from High School and moved away from home I was on a path of destruction. Throughout this entire time, my parents were supportive and we had a good relationship. My sister and I had a good relationship but she was married by this time and moved to Colorado a couple years later. Although, I never was in a committed relationship I would date and had a few girlfriends throughout this time.
A life changing event that occurred was when I moved from West Virginia to Arizona. Which was a tremendous trip which took about two thousand miles,by driving. On our way to the desert my family and I stopped at campgrounds, resorts was memorable. It provided me with a new aspect of how truly large the world is. While stopping at campgrounds along the road to Arizona I was able to admire the scenes, explore the town metaphorically speaking.
During the time when I got old enough I got to go to school. There were six to fourteen year olds in my class because we only had one classroom. I helped the younger students with their work when I finished with mine in the classroom. I had to memorize everything because they didn't have notebooks. I would bring my own lunch which was sometimes a bacon grease sandwich, oatmeal, bread with homemade jelly/butter or leftovers.
24 Hour Limo If my friend and I could have a limo for 24 hours I would want to go to South Dakota. Three things I would want to do there are, got to Mount Rushmore, The Badlands, and Crazy Horse Monument. The first place we could go to is Mount Rushmore. We could go there because it is the only monument that has all four presidents heads carved into rock.
We stopped a couple times on the way up to avoid any barfing and the view at every stop was amazing, the sky was mostly clear with just a few clouds in the distance so
I don’t mind at all, but I’ve warned you haha. That’s so great. I love traveling, but my family isn’t really the traveling type (probably because we’re so big and it’s expensive).
In Colorado we had a nice old house with a big backyard, and a huge hill to go sledding on in the winter. Life was good. Our school was a Charter school which I didn’t like because we had to wear uniforms. Our school was just down the hill and it took less than five minutes to get there because of traffic, there was a intersection right at the bottom of the hill.
I really missed my mom like really bad but eventually we got to see her we went to that building again and they put us in a small room and she walked in we jumped on her and yelled “Mommy” I was so happy the first time i had seen her in three weeks. We told her about everything that had happened so far she sounded mad when she said “I 'm going to get you back i promise.”
My dad and I went on a muzzleloader antelope hunting trip, in Central Oregon. Four days into our trip, on September 1st, we started our morning off like the past three days, very tired. We stumbled out of our beds and, drowsily, we geared up and left for another unknowing day of hunting. Once we arrived at some alfalfa fields, my dad let me drive the dirt roads.
I decided to bring my favorite blanket. It gave me a warm feeling inside. As we headed off, we said our last goodbyes to Gram and Gramps. Two days later, as we were passing an old abandoned ghost town, as if by magic I heard a crack and saw that the top right wagon wheel broke. It would be getting dark soon so we found shelter in an old
If I were to pick any where to go vacation I would pick to go back to Colorado. I would fly again because it 's faster and it 's a cool view. I would wanna go there because it 's really fun to snowboard there. It is also really pretty in the mountains. But it is also really close to downtown Denver I love the city 's and the mountains it 's a perfect fit.
I went to the beach and went swimming almost every day. When I didn’t want to walk to the beach I could go to the back yard and jump in the pool we had. And at night when the pool started to get cold I could go on the upstairs balcony and get in the hot tub. The pool had lights in it but the hot tub had lights and jets. While I was down in North Carolina we went to a place with big sand dunes.
